Lately...

I've noticed that a lot of people are taking a loooooonnnngggg time to get back into their blogging modes.

Korang tak habes beraya lagi ke?

Okay, granted that some people are bz with exams but what happened to the rest?

On my current "miss list":

1)Hartijah or affectionately known as TEEJ(my longtime roomie)

2)my two other roomies

3)the ability to call and make plans with my gerls (not possible since many are in EXAM mode...pfft)

4)strangely enough i miss my hang out spot in campus.

5)and last but not least, boy watching in school *cue dreamy sigh*

Haven't been out much these past few days. Not even raya-ing with my friends. Jalan raya with my gerlfrens postponed till the 26th or 27th (after all their exams) so the one thing to look forward to is the jalan raya which will resume this weekend.

*crosses fingers that my family will make our way to my uncle's place so i can take a look at the laptop that i was promised...yayness*

A few invites this weekend...don't know whether i'll be able to make it or not...

By the way, have you people noticed the trailer for that new Channel 5 drama entitled 'Lifeline'?

What is it with Gurmit Singh that makes it so wrong for him to be in that show? I think a haircut is not gonna help people...

Hums *put the lime in the Coke u nut...*

Annoying but somehow catchy...thanks to the little annoying little brat that i love.

And my favourite diamond...the one in the Soo Kee advert...that is one hell of a ROCK...can i have one? pWeeety please?

I am sick of this!

I've tried twice -unsucessfully might i add- at adding the pics to my blog.

The first time, the pc hung up on me...

The second time...i deleted it ALL by accident!!!

It is very frustrating.

I am not in the mood to upload it again. I'll just do it tomorrow or the day after that...

Was so excited to post them up...but I'll let u have a sneak peak.

At least that's one pic up...many many more to come...be patient k?

Home at last...

Reached home yesterday morning at 5am...sahur by myself cos all my other family members dah malas nak bangun sahur...so just chugged a glass of cold water and switched on the pc...hehehhe...revengeeeee!

so after subuh, i went to bed and woke up at 12nn! Got the sleep that i wanted to recharge my overused batteries. After that mom decided to go out. Biler kiter tanyer, she said she didn't know where she was heading to but she just wanted to get out of the house...ahakz...tht's the last thing i'd expected my mom to say.

So we headed to... GEYLANG! At last, finally got to go even though its the end of ramadhan...kinda packed...really hot weather and i could feel myself wilting in the sun.

Got some raya essentials, tudung's galore coutesy of mum...and also a new abaya...wheeeeeee...sukaaaaaa! And of course not forgetting the dengdeng! Nice, sweet and juicy...i want moooorrrreeee!

Today gonna be crammed to the brim with chores. Mop floor, peel onions and get the dried chillies cut up, clean toilet...blah blah blah...

And did i mention that my sister did a complete overhaul of the room?! Its so big and airy and not like Hurricane Katrina passed through it. Not to mention clean!

So half the floor's been mopped, need to go do the other half...then more chores await...gotta geta move on now.

Eid Mubarak to all!

All's Not Well...

This year alone i've had diarrheoa thrice...the first putting me out for almost one week. The second time was last week. The Singapore students assoc. ordered food from one of the hostels which do catering and their food gave many of us stomach pains and diarrheoa. The third time being today. My energy is wiped out. I'm so dehydrated and my stomach still makes funny noises and it hurts. I'm suspecting it was the nasi kandar i had yesterday for iftar.

Other than that, my exams will commence on friday. And i am nowhere near prepared. I'm so scared shitless. 2 novels that i haven't had time to finish and victorian poets. Why of all things victorian poets? I am so not prepared!!!

On a lighter note, my leadership and management exam went very well. I was so pleased and chuffed by the efforts made by all the other team members. I've never enjoyed working in a group until i met them. They are certainly a cut above the rest. THANK YOU GUYS for making the experience worthwhile!

We entered the room all jittery and nervous wrecks. Who wouldn't when you have to present a proposal to a panel of 5 individuals? Our presentation went rather smoothly. Me, of all people had to do the introduction. I was sooo nervous i could feel my stomach turning somersaults. When I started off, i was a bit shaky but soon after i regained my composure and i felt better afterwards(once i finished, my ears were burning!).

Everyone did great despite their nervousness. And the best part was when my groupmate Yusuf tied up all the strings with the conclusion. He did it very beautifully. And when the panel started off with their comments, we were all grinning like fools.

They were simply blown away by the visual aids, even though it was just mahjong paper (cos no power point presentations are allowed for some reason)and they outrightly said that our proposal was very good and much better compared to the other 2 groups. I was beaming on the inside! They said we did very well with the presentation and they were so impressed with our effort especially with all the visual aids. Our group really deserved it. We all put in a lot of effort and I will be surprised if all of us don't do well.

Missing my group mates already (not to mention they're not even from my faculty. all of them are engineering students with me as the odd one out)!

Meanwhile, I'm missing all things singapore. The dengdeng, the takoyaki, the air kathira and the all the other sedap foods! Suddenly im having a hankering for kachang phool and laksa singapore! Less than 2 weeks to go!!! And less than 2 days to shop at Geylang!

And yes Taufiq sorry i missed out on the greetings the previous two posts, so here goes:

Thanks for being one of my bestest friends ever. Almost a year has passed and i'm truly blessed by your friendship. Must go jalan² with me to Geylang when i get back k?! And don't buih!

p/s: All the best for you exams dude!

With that,

Breaking my own word

Thought u wouldn't be seeing me anymore rite? Ahakz...just wanted to share my selenger moment...

Last week, i was told that my Leadership and Management grp wanted to meet on monday at 8pm in the library.

I was nowhere near the point of ready at 8.35pm since i got so worked up with the assignment at hand. Speedily dressed, and got my bum at the library by 9.10pm.

I got a shock when there wasn't a soul in the pre-determined room we agreed to meet in.

Thinking i was late, i called up one of my grpmates and got diverted to the voicemail (i hate voicemails!). Not just one grp member but two!

So i thought i'd spend some time catching up with emails and blogging, and then calling my members up only after terawih.

When i called, imagine the surprise when my grpmate said:

WE'RE NOT MEETING TODAY, IT'S BEEN POSTPONED TO TOMORROW AND YOU'LL HAVE TO BRING THE EDITED PROPOSAL ALL BINDED AND STUFF TO BE HANDED IN.

And no one had the courtesy to even sms me that today's meeting had been cancelled.

If i knew i wouldn't have left the room!!! Aaaarrrgghhhh!

I foresee that this week is going to be a long and trying one.

Oh Allah give me strength!

Ramadhan '05

I feel that its been so long since i've last written. I hope that i do get to satisfy my fellow blog readers.

This is my ferst Ramadhan (7/8 of it) being spent away from home. It feels so strange not to be home to break fast with your family and sahur with them. I suspect im going to be homesick for quite some time (even though i've made my way back to singapore almost every other week the whole of this semester).

Some people have been scarce in my life lately...very scarce. Geez i dun even noe why i bother sometimes.

One down, another assignment and presentation to go through. And this saturday (or sunday) im going to have to sit for my very ferst exam! Aaaaaaccckkkkk! I'm so stressed right now. I can't even think straight. I even had a hard time falling asleep on the bus last night. Which is VERY RARE. I'd normally take less than 10 min to fall asleep on that uncomfortable chair. Felt so tired today...(walaupun tak berpuasa khekhekehkehkeh)

Weather was unbearably HOT! And i had to make my way down to the nearest money changer (cos mother dearest didnt change the money for me like she usually does, and by the time i left the house, all the money changers were closed!) which is abt 20mins away by bus. And i had to walk for abt 5 mins in the scorching hot sun in my black outfit. Yes, smart rite? *smacks head* should have grabbed something else out of my cupboard.

Spent the whole of saturday doing my phonetics assignment all the way till sahur (not a wink of sleep!) and then i find out that almost all the computers here on campus are not "phonetically friendly". All my IPA symbols got wiped out when i transferred them to another computer! Arrrgghhhh! It sent me into a little tizzy late this afternoon. Had to run back and forth from one lab to another, while i was supposed to be in a class.

Finally solved it by editing all my hard work on my roomie's laptop and printing it direct from there. Once it was printed, i realised something...I FORGOT TO EDIT THE SYMBOLS ON THE COVER PAGE! So now they're all the wingding, and dingbats and watnot forms...uuurggghhhhh! Tulah pandai sangat kan!

I had better start my revision this week. By hook or by crook!

And i just realised that i have only 2 days to go to Geylang once i get back from KL!!! And i havent bought shoes OR a bag to match my outfits! Aaaaccckk!!! Disaster...

Tak sabar lah nak Rayaaaaa! Cepat lah sket! Hehehehehe....

Which reminds me, i'd better go book my tix for Raya...nanti habes menangis lah aku plak...

Oklah...nothing much more for me to write...although i do noe that there are probably lots more in my brain...just can't seem to get it out now...

Well when i do have the time then i will InsyaAllah write. Till then, assalamualaikum.

To my peeps: Zak, shereen, azimah (happy studying and all the best for your remaining tests! wish me luck!)

To shahidah: lady where are u? havent seen you online in quite a long while!

To some new peeps i've made in the blogging scene: Kak Crab and Crab Junior (thanks for dropping by! will add both of u to my blog roll soon!) and to Kak Rouge(hang in there, takmo sedih2 when hubby isn't around k? smile always!)

To Linda NJ: Miss pls hor, Come down to KL in december! Slmt mugging tuk tests and etc etc...

To the rest: Happy Fasting! Drink lots of water and remember to get your Ramadhan's worth cos you might not noe when your last one will be. May Allah S.W.T. guide us all and keep us safe! Ramadhan Mubarak once again!

I hope i've covered all the bases, if i haven't, sorry!

Till the next post.

Bubbled

Rasa cam this week asyik kena bubble je.

First, biler budak2 Indonesia ngan Brunei. Kata nak main futsal. Last minute batalkan. Takut ke per?

Pas tu hari ni plak.

Grp member kata nak email some documents for Leadership & Management. Tunggu peh tunggu tak sampai2 lagik.

Abeh lagi satu plak...

Dek tu kata nak hantar all the addresses. Takder pun!!!

Eeeeeee sakit hati tau!

I can't do my work if things keep stalling. I'm already under pressure from higher powers...arrrgghhhhhh!

Deadlines, deadlines and more deadlines. I am really going beserk.

I think its about time i announced my month long hiatus frm blogging. Not forever. I dun think i can stay away from my blog more than that.

Exams are on from October 20th till the end of the month. Bummer.

So this will be the last week im gonna be here in singapore. Gonna be in KL for the rest of the month and most of Ramadhan.

Anyways, Ramadhan Mubarak to all. May you have a fruitful fasting month this yr. Amin.

Lectures, classes & more assignments...

Its the final lap to this semester. I have roughly about 3 weeks (or probably even less) before my exams hit me like a type 4 hurricane.

Slides for next presentation are all ready. I managed to finish it all up by last night. In an hour. Immediately after i came back from my evening tuition class. I also have no idea how i managed to pull it off so fast. I guess i work under pressure better than i expected.

2 more pending assignments and 2 more presentations PLUS 2 tests, The dreaded number two again.

Tonight is the dreaded futsal match between the Singaporean Students Assocn. against the Brunei, Thailand and Indonesian student societies. I am a wreck. The Indonesian gerls are combining with some other International students and that's what's worrying me to the max. There is no second keeper. That means that I'm the only keeper throughout the 2 matches. I am so not looking forward to it.

Other things aside, me and xxxxxx are getting on pretty well. I was surprised when he wanted to go out with my friends during our annual jalan raya. Still baffled. Or am i the one getting ahead of myself. I really don't want to get myself worked up for something that might not happen. Really. I've had to much to deal with this semester lah. Cannot tahan oredi. I will turn into a basket case after this semester i tell you.

There is this tiny glimer hope still burning for xxxxxx. Would love it to see it go somewhere. But i doubt he'd end up anywhere near the pool though.

Oh, and did i mention i managed to register for my classes next semester VERY successfully? Alhamdullillah! I was really worked up on the fact that i might not have gotten the classes i wanted on Plan A. But everything worked out! Pretty pleased with myself! So gerls, you guys have me on fridays again! Hehehehe....i still managed to evade friday classes and start in the afternoon for my monday and wednesday classes. So happy about that!

Looking back at this semester, i'd say it would have to be one of the most challenging semesters i've had academically, socially, as well as mentally. I think i've written in my diary more than i have in the last few semesters combined. I might also be tempted to go see my guidance counsellor if i can't take the pressures. But the healthy relationship i have with Allah has definitely helped me a lot.

Which brings me to the coming month of Ramadhan! I can't wait! Although most of it will be spent sitting for the exams. But i know that i will manage. InsyaAllah. Really looking forward to performing the terawih with my sch peeps! And it sure is gonna be sad since Kak CT isn't at IIU anymore. *really miss you!*

And lets hope xxxxxx asks me out to iftar with him! Khrkhrkhrkhr

Starting to Worry?

This is a quote i got from someone's blogpost. A lady nonetheless. On some things she wants to pass to her daughter.

"Study hard and do well in your education...but no need to go until PHD. Wait too educated not easy to find man. If you end up a spinster I lagi susah."

Starting to wonder if it rings true.

Always wanted to become a doctor (the medical kind). Now since that it kinda impossible at this point in my life, i actually thought of getting a doctorate in philosophy(in linguistics)...

*ponders hard*

The stars were all aligned in a pretty row...

Yesterday saw me going out wif taufiq (at last!) after about 3 cancellations and rain checks...but it was well worth it! *pastes a silly grin on my face*

We had made plans the night before and as i waited, and waited and waited and waited most of my afternoon for mr chua's call to confirm our plans...to no avail. I was almost willing the phone to ring hehehe...

Finally mr no-show did call only at 5.20pm. After making panicked plans i decided to meet him at plaza singapura so that we could catch Brothers Grimm the 6.50pm show. By the time i boarded the train it was already 6.30pm and there was no way that we were going to make it.

So we just decided on eating at Liang Seah St. yummy...

Parking was somehow easy to find...no hassle...which was gd! Considering cirque du soleil were performing nearby. After dinner, we hurriedly made the decision to go catch Cinderella Man at Great World Plaza at 9.15pm.

The moment we got into the cinema to get tickets, this malay lady frm hsbc approached us and gave us FREE tix to watch the movie heheheh...apparently hsbc was having some movie screening for members and some people were unable to make it. So we basically saved $19! Hehehe....dpt makan free lagi you!

I was so happy and so was mr chua...*smiles*. He said it must have been me bringing all the gd fortune khrkrhkrhkrh...

Even the movie wasn't a disappointment! (although i don't really fancy russell crowe cos somehow his acting stinks in most of his movies lah, then again i'm partial to other actors). Its probably one of the best roles his taken on. I still think he stank up Gladiator.

He was extremely brilliant in portraying the character of James J. Braddock, complete wif the 'Nuuu York' accent. Plotwise, its nothing you've never seen before. Basically its all about overcoming the odds especially in the wake of the Depression (movie was set in 1930s).

Like the title says, its a cinderella story. Making a comeback and all that. But i'll leave you all to watch the movie yourselves k? Won't want to spoil it for you. And i really urge you to watch it!

Ratings: 4/5

And you'll never go wrong with Renee Zelwegger as a member of the cast. Watch out for next year's Oscars. They'll be a contender for sure!

Where has everyone else gone?

Back to KL i suppose. Leaving me here all alone to fend for myself (takderrrlah sangat!)

I simply can't stand it anymore. Everybody else's problems end up becoming my problem. Why?

'Cos some people (aka "A") like to piss the hell out of another person (aka "B") and then "B" takes it out on me.I'm pretty pissed about that.

And then its when someone else's responsibility becomes mine because they simply don't feel like doing it.

" What? The whole world revolves around you issit!?"

And then the best part is, when that person doesn't do it then i automatically become the person to do it. It really annoys me. I hardly get thanks for anything. Irks the hell out of me.

And of course there's exhibit "C" who (also like "A") likes to make me lose my temper.

And if next week, anyone wants to take a shot at me better be wary cos I'll just take the crap outta you!

And really,i can't see why/how anyone is going to get into the pool. Trust me on that.

A total of 7 hours...

That's the number of hours i spent in KL on monday.

Yes.

You read it correctly. Its not a hoax. Believe me.

I went back to KL as per normal on sunday night. Just like every other sunday night of this semester. Knew before hand that there wasn't any water being supplied to my campus. It's happened before so I didn't think anything of it. -Nothing serious- or so i thought...

I reached campus at around 4.30am in the morning. Standard arrival time. And i had to pee. Damn. And there was no water! Couldn't hold it.

People who noe me well should know that i really have a weak bladder. I can still remember the nickname given to me 'toilet queen' if im not mistaken.

So i just went to the loo. At least it didn't smell as bad as i imagined it to be. Used a little bit of someone else's water (pls forgive me!) and that was the end of that. went to bed after that at around 5am

I don't have a morning class and only start my monday classes at 3.30pm so i sleep through most of the morning till 9am at least. Only yesterday was a bit different.

I was awakened by an announcement made on the PA system. i distinctively heard the lady saying that wasn't going to be any class frm 1pm onwards till wednesday. Ahakz...I was immediately plastered with a smile on my sleepy face and guess wat!?

I don't have to sit for my phonetics test this week!!! Yipeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

I get to at least buy some more time yahoooooooooooo.....i think this has been one of the best 2 weeks ever this whole semester.

So i decided to go back (yeah wat else do i do right?) to singapore. wahakz. aint that a surprise? so i took the 2.30pm bus back home khekehkehe...so i practically just slept when i was in KL. that's all. wat a laugh. its been a really hilarious week so far. lets hope they extend the closure for the rest of the week. (crosses fingers)

Now i shall go email a lecturer about postponing my e. lit one test to next week. And now i actually get to buy a whole week's worth of presentation time! Yahooooooo....

Hope Prof. Syed Nasir will be nice. I'm sure he is.

Lazy Weekend

I have been officially bumming since yday. Managed to do a little light reading after a really uncomfortable journey back from KL late thursday night.

Lazing, reading...a nice change. I even went back home immediately after the math class i was tutoring. Changed into a comfy pair of pants and my ever-nostalgic JC orientation shirt (of which i have 5!) and went straight to bed.

I was so pooped.

Woke up feeling really happy and was laughing my head off when my sis answered (or tried to answer) her hp.

After abt 3-5 rings, my sister proceeded to say "HELLO", when she hadn't in fact even picked up her phone yet. Hahahahahhaha. She was so cold out from her nap she didn't even realise it. It was so blaardy farny...and im still in stitches after her silly little antic.

On another note, i can't believe some people are so selfish and so ungrateful after what i thought i did seemed like a favour to them. But noooooooo, they think that im trying to wreck them. Oh please that is so juvenile. Been there done that (and i am so not proud of what i did). If i were being really mean i wouldn't even have told them in the first place.

And btw if you-know-who-you-are-and-you're-reading-this:

I am doing this to satisfy my own curiousity and im only in search of the truth. In no way have i been asked to approach you by any group of individuals. I only seek the truth and like you im just sick of hearing what i've heard. And there you go blowing your top off cos u think im saying salacious things abt you. Well even if i did, I DID IT IN YOUR FACE!

And i don't understand why some people have got to be so high & mighty thinking that people should worship the ground they walk on. Have you people heard of respect begetting respect??? (nothing to do with the above comments)

And btw, this is my blog so i am entitled this little space on the web to just rant whatever bits in my mind that seem to be bothering me. Its called freedom of speech. So live with it. Not happy. You shldn't even have bothered coming here. So go scram.

How do i do this?

I constantly never fail to amaze myself with the kind of predicaments that i usually get mysef into. It really does.

Sometimes doing the right thing suddenly seems wrong and then you feel that you should have shut up from the very beginning.

See, sometimes doing the right thing also makes you feel so guilty and so bad.

Well then, i'll stop moping now.

I can't believe Huda's getting engaged in less than a months's time! I'm excited and happy for her to see her finally settling.

Spiderman, wherefore art thou spiderman?

Arrggghhhh, im simply stressed out and really driving myself up the wall with small and inane subjects.

Havent even had a decent holiday.

Let's hope i'll get to see the Blue Mosque next year.

-Hush-hush-

We left, we boarded the bus and we arrived.

Thats the usual summary i guess.

But yesterday was better.
Left with the Duchess and kakak Twins.

We talked and talked and talked till our heavy eyelids could not hold on no more.

Fast asleep all the way frm Kajang (i think) to Yong Peng. Too much partying this week. Ummatic Week has always been a blast but sure as hell takes up too much energy.

When we awoke, we filled our empty stomachs and chatted...-me and the Duchess-...

The 'angau' period is still looming around. Yes i now noe i shouldn't be looking for my knight and his white charger but wait for Spiderman.
I doubt if i ever will see him again.

Suddenly im motivated to save moolah to head down to Egypt next yr.

iwantiwantiwantiwantiwantiwantiwantiwantiiwantttttttttttttt!

The CoMoRoS dudes rawked the house...im still chanting that song repetitively in my head. Ouh and this time round i have plenty more pics to share from ummatic week.

Shiok Sendiri.

Have you ever gotten the feeling that someone was talking about you in their blog.

I bet at least 70% of you have. and i don't mean being spoken about on the blog with your name displayed for all the world to see okay.

i am probably losing it as it write this all down right now. how can he possibly have been writing about me? i must be crazy. it was just THAT part in his blog. so insignificant.

so why the hell am i making such a big deal out of it?

cos he's brainy, good-looking,plus he's very much grounded in religion (i loike!), loves literature (better yet!) and he's back home for his hols.and he can go on about literature for hours. trust me.

there are not many guys in the world like that okayyyyy

the skies seem sunny now but the winds might just change, making "his gold complexion dimm'd".

and it was just that one saturday that i wished i'd bump into someone i know...but to no avail. i had to go round the whole of bugis/bras basah and kacau daun nyer si azimahandmukmin.

all this crap is getting me down.

Prince Charming sesat on his white charger i guess heheheh.

he-who-shall-not-be-named...

I've had the busiest of weeks so far in my two yrs in Uni...its kinda putting a toll on my SOCIAL life...crap...

BUT

today i got to see lots of eye candy hehehehe...from near and far.

but there has been a guy thats been drifting in and out of my conciousness. and recently he came back.

i tried to keep it in. but it refused to stay put. i dunno why. its just that charisma of his.

i dun even noe why i even bother thinking abt him.

its that unnattainable.

On a lighter note. THE HAZE HAS GONE!

Lets hope it stays that way. Nice and clean fresh air...just the way i like it.

Cough, sputter, cough, cough...

I probably inhaled about a year's worth of carbon dioxide. Swirls of black clouds hung heavy and mind you, it wasn't rain clouds. It was more like thick heavy smoke.

On thursday, the weather took a turn for the worse. Between 10am-12pm, the heavy smog just got thicker and thicker till the trees in the distance were not clearly visible. It was so bad that tonnes of people started buying masks. It was certainly very surreal. I never remembered singapore being swamped in that kind of smoke. It was much worse than wat Singapore experienced the last time.

Shortness of breath and tightness in the chest were what i experienced. Thank God i left KL that night. By then i had been sneezing since wednesday evening. Air quality was so bad but i was still at futsal training. God only knows why i went. Sheesh. But then again i did get my new jersey.

Its a beautiful orange and black colour. Think of the Dutch national side.Red and white were out of the options thanks to the indonesians that got first pick since they are our guests. So we've stuck with orange and black for the past 2 yrs.

Anyways, national day celebration at Kl was a blast. I was really happy that everything turned out right.Although the security guard almost spoiled the whole night. We almost got thrown out of the venue thanks the fact that they thought we were holding some illegal gathering. Sheesh. Of all the days. But the cake was really pretty. I'm still struggling with my new hp...cant seem to get it to cooperate with the pc

nice or not?

Anyway here are the before and after pics of the haze.

Before and...

after.

Anyway, thanks to all me mates that made the National Day celebrations a real blast. I had a real great time working at breakneck speed with the rest of the EXCO members. But i truly think the people that deserve the greatest thanks would be to my Shash Kebab and Kho. Not forgetting the ever trusty Secretary, Seri.

Tak sabar next program lah pulak! Hehehehe....I really hope that the Treasure Hunt will go well! InsyaAllah!

Yeay besok payday! Sandals i must get. Shoesies??? Ugh...spend and spend and spend je!

Next up: 2 tests and an assignment to hand in!

Blardy crap.

I. am. tired. and. cranky.

Thanks to the oh-so-much-un-needed-fire-drill-at-midnite-last-nite i am now running low on my batteries. I am tired. Very tired.

Was just about to sleep when this annoying alarm rang and mind you, i just ended class at 10pm, studied for abt an hour and then when i wanted to sleep at midnite, this stupid alarm went off. So all of the inhabitants of the hostel blocks had to wake up (in watever state you were in) grab something to cover the head and just head down to the quad.

It was an oh-not-very-funny-moment.

By the time i got back to the room after their briefings and the headcount it was already 12.45am. And i was already too excited by the developments earlier on to go immediately into a slumber. I think i dozed off close to 2am and i had a class just now at 8.30am. And its gonna be a long day today. My lids feel heavy. I think i know how Linda feels rite now.

P/s i think you're just a bit too excited being back in school...hehehe relax k? Ni baru start sem...nanti lama2 u bleh tanding ngan panda heheheeh

Last sunday i went out wif my girlies...celebrated sha's and shereen's bdae. Hehehe...we were like dysfunctional shopaholics gone amok at the sight of every single thing on sale. The lingerie was especially crazy...hullo? where to get 2 for $29???

And i tell you...Secret Recipe is fabulous...i love their brownie with ice-cream on top! It is so sinfully delicious...oh god, and the choc sauce they drizzle on top of the brownie...uuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yum....provides orgasmic pleasure minus the sex of course....and you could go wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the whole day....

And of course the highlight of the day was when i got PUNK'D...and it was not even funny....yeah i can still hear all of u gerls sniggering at me...

Me and my little obsession wif Taufik Batisah went a little overboard till i didn't even know that i was being punk'd. It all started with shereen, azimah and sha who pasted all these excited expressions on their faces about taufik being at IMM that day...so naturally i got all hyper.

- especially after all that choclatey goodness of a brownie-

And den these pple get me all excited and not expect me to do something...hullo...u mention taufik **** also i will get excited hhehehhee....pokoknyer kalau namanyer taufik and they reside in singpore sudah sah i will go a little NUTS.

At first i said no, cos i probably thought hey it was a hoax...but then my curiosity got the better of me and then i had to drag azimah and get her to show me where taufik was. prepared wif camera and everything u noe! and den she brings me to the Straits Times exhibition and there stood taufik...a life-sized POSTER! Aiyoooohhhh i was mortified...sheesh...

So when i got back to where the rest of the gerls were, they were all sniggering and laughing at me...haiyohhh they all bluffed me...i felt like a complete ass.

Ah well, heheh i'll get them back for that hehehehe

Now back to my free and idyllic time (till about 11.15 at least)

I wonder...

I wonder how long this is going to keep up. This simply defies the rules.

Watever was done shouldn't have been done.

True, i wanted it but then at what expense? It seemed so easy to comprehend at that moment.

It was so easy and comfortable.

I am so in dip-shit....

I knew i should have just kept my mouth shut.

On the other hand, my flu hasn't made a comeback, alhamdullillah.
But my throat still kinda feels sore. But i've been chugging water like im trying to be the next singaporean reservoir. So i would say i am well onto the path of recovery.

I already missed one training of futsal. Daym...i simply can't believe HOW bz i am this semester. I hope that i get to finish one of my assignments soon.

There are tests due in 2 weeks time. And i havent gotten down to reading the damned General Prologue. But it should be fun.

The new academic calendar has been altered to accomodate the groans of students being unable to enjoy EidulFitr. And thus, yours truly now has only 3 days of a mid-sem break. 3days...wat can i possibly do in 3 days to de-stress!? this is utter madness...

Another bummer to add the the already burgeoning list would be the fact that i won't have a revision period. So examinations start from the 20th October to the 1st of November. AND, hari raya is on the 3rd of november. already pple are worried about getting tickets and not being able to come back on time.

please release the exam time-table now...i noe its a tad bit early but i still would like to spend some of my ramadhan here in singapore.

the thought of no iftar with the girls, no jalan² at the Geylang bazaar simply sends shivers to my spine.

Already i don't get to spend national day and enjoy national day + adam's 7th bdae this yr (and of course not being able to catch taufik in his acting debut in shooting stars! reads:i. am.majorly.and. royally. pissed.). it is simply disheartening.

I feel stretched like a rubber band and im about to break.

So how now about Ummatic Week: Sister's Cultural Night...to participate or not? I'm sorry girls. I simply cant make that kind of commitment anymore. Im sorry to disappoint you all.

Yeah...so another jam packed weekend for me again...wat else is new?

As expected...

Like i said before... I'm suffering that breakdown of mine. Went to the doc yday with a runny nose, a sore throat and feeling a tad feverish.

Came out of the docs office with a prescription for swollen tonsils, flu and fever.

My throat still kinda itches and aches. I've been in bed most of the time. Just decided that i had to get out of bed, get lunch and then later after that take my meds....

When i am ill, It is He who cures me....Amin

Kak CT i miss you too!!!!!!!!!!!! Muackks...Wish it were during the old days...

I can't believe this.

I cant believe...

1) that SHE is such a selfish and self-centered bitch. she thinks the world revolves around her and quite frankly, she should be kicked out if she doesn't give a hand or two.

2) that my body is already breaking down though its only been 2 weeks into the semester. My throat is all scratchy. I'm feeling irritable and my head feels full of cotton. My stomach wants to be emptied of its contents. And frankly i should stop here before i make other people sick.

3)that I'm so busy this semester. I'm still waiting for a breather. *sob sob* bye bye Bali...

My social life...or the nonexistence of it more like it

Its been a tough 2 weeks back at the uni. More challenges this time round. An additional subject rather than the usual 5. Assignments galore. Not to mention the presentations.

This is going to be a very daunting semester. And i guess i have to shelve that plan of going to Bali this september(wishful thinking all along).

I desperately need a break. Before I break down.

...Full soon thy Soul shall have her earthly freight,
And custom lie upon thee with a weight...
W. Wordsworth

That's what I feel like I'm going through right now.
Just want to share one of my fav poems.
One that I ferst saw at the back of a door in a loo at Lakeside, UK heheheh...

Daffodils...
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Semester One...

Okay so i had a bad start to the new semester yesterday. I'm so blardy jinxed i tell ya.

While getting out of the car at Kranji mrt stn, i dropped my hp pouch (which incidentally held my ex-link card as well) onto the blardy floor. And it was only when i boarded the bus that i realized the pouch wasn't with me and the bus was already moving. I was almost on the verge of screaming and hysterical (knowing for a fact that i had so many contacts listed in moi hp). I called me dad on his hp -using my fren's hp of course- but he said he didn't hear any ringing from my hp. Then i finally came to the conclusion that it fell to the floor while I was getting out of the car.

I was already on the verge of tears cos i didnt want to lose my precious hp. SO i called up kak masykurah who happened to still be at the bus stop and asked her to help me look for the hp. She called back 5 mins later telling me and Aisyah Spec that my darling hp had been found. And guess where it was.

It was on the fcuking road!!!!!

Lucky no bus came and ran over my baby! Phew.

Now i guess u could say that i'm all set for the new semester.

Let's pray that my hp doesn't decide to bail on me again.

*Sheesh. How am i gonna get through the semester in one piece?*

Need. I. Say. More?

This day has been the WORST of all the other days that I've been stuck at home.

o.n.e : my uni web server decided to crash on the day that all year two students were due to do their add/drop exercise.

SINCE LAST NIGHT!
*how bloody convenient*

t.w.o : the electricity was due to be cut off today so that the workers outside could change the electrical riser's wires. so i was devoid of electricity from 8.30am to about 3.30pm just now. so there was no fan. no tv.no internet. even the fridge was out. thank god for the phone. i thot i was going to die.

thank god for my girlies.

so yesterday i managed another quick outing wif ma gerls...yeay! went to changi airport. picked up shereen frm werk wif sha and azimah. poor shereen, she was soooo sleepy. i probably bet that she's sleeping right this moment too.

finally getting the shot rite!

went to bugis. ogled at all the pretty stuff at seiyu. i promise u dorothy i will come back and bring u home!

walked walked walked until we worked up a thirst for some of coffeebean and tealeaf's new belgium choc ice blended! it was soooooo gooooodd...my tastebuds were dancing with delight! haiz. i love u so belgium choc ice blend. keep it on the menu pls!!!

Dinner was held at ZamZam with 4 of us settling for the same thing: mutton chop....superbly YUMMY! Zak had the mee goreng mamak to which she surrendered after only going through about half of it. then off we went to snap snap peekchures like a couple of cam whores.

aren't we all happy?

bumped into a couple pple. Rofitah at coffeebean and then Fizzy at ZamZam. So happy to see you all!!!

I just have one more thing to add. YJC Girls have been crowned floorball champs!!! I love you gerls!!! Congrats are in order! Thanks especially to Coach Ngasti. I knoe u've been waiting for this one a LONG time! Yeay! We have a trophy! Keep up the gd werk gerls!

Now i shall go back to nursing my poor little finger that got caught at the door of Golden Landmark. (yes it was a bloody mess with some of my skin coming off) And now its a bit swollen.

I guess this will probably be my second last post till i go back to KL *again*
baaahhh humbug.

Shiiiooookkkkk!

Wah, i tell you this hols has been one smorgasbord of good food the whole way thru and thru. Sedaps ke per. When i got back the first thing i indulged in abt my eating habits was the very very VERY sinful laksa at Banquet Jurong East. Haiz...im dreaming of that as i write this (not forgetting to mention that my mouth just waters when i think about that sinful dish!) - i think i'll probably whip that up before i leave for KL next week.

The other piece of gastronomical delight that i had was crab that mummy cooked to perfection last week. Chilli crab...yum. I only have that special dish at home probably about once every six months. I practically cracked and sucked out every piece of that hard exoskeleton till it was mush. I can't imagine how messy i'd look if i had to eat that at a restaurant. Geez...now its another six month wait till the next crab dish.

This week itself, TWO pple blanja me makan. Once at Seoul Garden and the other at Sofra International Food. Courtesy of dad and Abg Mustaqim (tak sia-sia jadi usher utk MOU b/w Pergas n UIA hhehehe). Seoul Garden at AMK is very disappointing. Not a lot of variety. Plus its very diff to manouevre yourself in that establishment. The best so far (according to me lah but dun quote me k!) the ones at Takashimaya, Causeway Point and Marina Square. Floor plan for seoul garden very impt k! But nevertheless i enjoyed myself cos i got to spend time with my family.

Yesterday Abg Mus blanje makan kat Sofra! Woah...sedap jugak arh. Tapi biasalah kan kalau arab and mediterranean food is a bit bland and they loveeeee tomatoes. Dunno why. Anyway i had the shish kebab...the portion was JUST NICE! and the prices are akin to that of Swensens. So u shld head down there and try it for yourself. Its at Shaw Towers. Level 2. Click here for more info about Sofra International Food.

Ader tak siaper-siaper lagi tak yang nak blanjer kiter makan???

Aniwaes i had a pretty tiring day and i was completely bushed out just now thanks to the tuition. Its good to be tutoring again. But one of the kids im tutoring aiyah dunno whether lazy, slow, uninterested OR has a learning disability.
[Sabarlah ye. Patience is half of Iman]

Another week has come and gone. One more week left. I'm gonna miss this sunny island of singapore. if i live on an island, why is it that i havent seen the beach yet!!! Aaaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhh. Must see the laut at least once before i go back. If not i will never get a chance to see it for the whole of next sem!

Its already the second week of hols. And the week is coming to a close already. Some milestones of this hols were:

1. managed to get a tutoring stint at yew tee (yeahhhh i hear the sound "kachingggg" already)

2. tutored the wits out of my brother

3. spent way too much time on the pc (heheh)

4. spent some money on _________ (i loike!)

5. Free lunch courtesy of Shasha (thanks again babe!)

Not bad lah for a three week vacation. Haiz...wish it were longer. Just a bit. Need to visit grandpa soon too. His leg is swollen cos of gout. My grandpa looks older than he shld be. Haiz. Its that bad leg of his. I pray tht he'll still have his health. Amin.

Watched Kal Ho Naa Ho wif my gerlfrens at Shereen's place. Such a nice time wif the gerls. Just lepaking and pigging out on cookies and ice-cream as well as just all the little gerl talk. Shereen i can't believe you told ur mom that! hehhe im so mortified. So paisey to go ur house! hehehhehe no harm done though k? hehehe...

Pity zak couldnt join us. Next time k!

So amacam? This friday kiter gi rumah sha plak...Eye 10! Yehaaaaaa...Pas tu sunday kiter gi Mak's Place...how??? hhehehehe...i loikkkeeeeee!

Tomorrow...i plan to...rot @home.

Decided...it has been...

Ok im not going to KL...so now u dont have to miss me that much k?

Like it ever made a difference to you.

My evenings are now laden with guilt. I still remember how i unmistakenly and unknowingly messed everything up.

Like the sign on msn messenger reads: i've got the midas touch of disaster.

It still irks me how he refuses to take any ounce of blame. How he says he's not in any way reponsible.

How could you!? Why are you being such a jerk? Does it make you feel better that im miserable?

I'm sure it does.

I can practically see that smirk on your face...enjoying every second of my misery. Grow up will you? I was wrong too. I know that. At least i admitted to everything I did.

You want to throw our friendship down the drain go ahead. Its your loss.

Fin.
Suddenly...

Suddenly i feel lost.

Suddenly i feel lazy

Suddenly i feel lethargic.

I can't seem to think of anything nice to say anymore. It just takes up too much energy and too much time.

There's a million things running through my mind right now and i don't know even where to begin. Was told to blog. Didn't know wat to write. bonjolboy asked me to write abt myself. I don't think its worth writing or mentioning. Nothing interesting. Just the usual i'm-bumming-at-home-for-my-holidays repertoire.Nothing new. The only thing new is moi coveting that pair of gorgeous charles & keith sandals to replace my veryveryveryveryvery worn out pair of bata sandals.

But then again ALL girls covet a pair of gorgeous/elegant looking footwear.

I need to hear the wonderful sounds of cash registers ringing up my purchases. *One more month...be patient!* An aural delight. That in itself is therapeutic.

I hope azimah has decided to come along with me to KL this coming monday night. if she doesnt, i won't even bother. i need to shop! do some retail therapy. Not to mention i need to do some escorting pertaining to the new students entering the uni this cmg semester. so we're there to help them iron out the kinks. its definitely gonna be a LOOOOONNNNNNNGGGG day.

If not for azimah, i wont be going to KL cos i sure as hell don't need to be there earlier than im supposed to. I don't miss sch that much either. Well not yet anyway. I still need a break. A longer one.

Now i shall disappear and continue setting this exam paper for my mom.

I. Need. A. Break.

This running around like a headless chicken is proving to be taking more energy than expected.

I need more than a break. I need a massage, a pedicure and a manicure perhaps. A little facial wouldn't hurt. Let's see whether we can get my aunt to sponsor me on that. Heh heh.

Tomorrow will be my first programme since being appointed as a member of the exco. Kinda nervous. Hopeful. Testy. Aargh...im sooo stressed out. I have so many things to cover. I JUST HOPE I DON'T SCREW UP.

I managed to meet my gerls yesterday. Was a short meeting but i enjoyed every minute of it nevertheless. We had a quick dinner...chatted, gossiped (the gossip was JUICY) heheheh...I love you gerls. U are my heart and soul. I pray that we'll always be together and see each other go thru the gd times as well as the bad. And i can't wait for the time for the first of us to get married/engaged/watever! *sabarlah maryam kalau ye pun!*

I may have to take a quick trip to KL on tuesday. Dunno whether azimah nak ikut tak eh. Satu hari pun jadi lah kan? heheheh...

On the other hand...i havent been having a gd night's rest these days. My heart hangs heavy. Entah. tak tau aper lah yg buat aku risau sangat. sedih tak. happy pun takderlah sampai ke tahap ecstatic. Pls God help me...help me take this emptiness away...the dull throb is almost gone. But i'm proud of how far i've come. I'm glad that im not making the same mistakes that i've made before.*sigh*

Let's hope that tomorrow will have better things in store.

#!*^%^2%$&^%*!Wat the_______!!!

I was halfway thru a post when i had to stop and leave the pc. And when i was using the iron, there was an electrical fault and every electrical appliance in the house shut down. Including the pc. So there goes my post.

So where was i?

Oh yes.

Like i was saying... 4 days into my hols oredi and i've been stuck at home.
Already being delegated to tutor my brother (sch + madrasah) which includes his crankiness and unwillingness to do any math revision and watch more than the required amt of tv for any child. [batteries not included]

And i am sick of that puny little brat's whining!

Other than that, i haven't even met my girls yet and i miss them. We have all been preoccupied with our own things and i do believe we are due for another get together. I miss you guys. Loads. To say the least.

I really hope we get to plan that KL trip. *cross fingers*

And this planning for orientation is getting me all nervous and jittery. Not to mention the post im holding. Sorry. I'm not giving u any hints. And to anyone who knows wat post it is im holding pls keep it to urself k?? Thankies. I think it will be quite a surprise.

And i think its really time i go on a proper holiday. Soon. Before i start getting into a frazzled and distressed state.

Oh Allah most gracious and most merciful, pls grant me my prayers. Amin.

Aaaaaaccckkkkkkk...Hellllpppp!

Is it just me or has the weather just become SWELTERING hot?!

The exam ended without much hassle. It wasn't as hard as i expected it to be. It was in fact something that Dr. Normala already went through with us. Luckily i was present for that class. And the qn involved dissecting a poem linguistically. I never thought that i'd be glad to see a poem.

I normally hate reading poems. Cos i cant appreciate most of them for nuts. Especially once you've had a go at Philip Larkin's works... they're a killer.

I love hot weather but not once its coupled with such searing humidity it tends to get a bit overbearing.

My trip back home to singapore was quite an amazing race experience yet again. Having already bought my ticket home on wednesday, i boarded the bus at Pudu, 15 mins to 7pm on the 17th june. It was supposed to be a 3-3.5hr ride. On a comfortable executive coach. But to my dismay, i got the bus with 2 seats on each aisle. My mind and body already started to register some disappointment. But wat to do? Bought the ticket oredi.Bo pian lah...

I'm slowly starting to wilt in this heat.

It was an atrocious time to take a bus back to singapore. A friday evening and traffic was heavy due to the fact that the following day was a holiday. I felt miserable and started to regret the fact that i got on that bus. I felt like crap. Not to mention that the seat didn't give me much leg room AND it couldn't really recline much. So much for travelling in comfort. My neck and back were aching the whole way. And i couldn't sleep much. So i was pretty much awake for almost the whole journey. By the time it was 9.30pm i started panicking...it was supposed to be an express bus for God's sake. It should have been in melaka by then but we were still one state away frm melaka. I was starting to get worried.

This weather helps to breed mozzies! AAAACCCKKKKKKKK!

I smsed my dad and he was working. That meant the only way home was by public transport. And it was CRUCIAL that i got to JB at least on time. The bus finally pulled into Larkin terminus at 11.15pm thereabouts. Luckily the bus driver for 170 didn't take long and soon after I was heading to the checkpoints. Timecheck 11.40pm and i was at wdlds checkpoint. By the time i cleared customs and walked to the bus-stop it was close to midnight. Lady luck was again on my side for 911E pulled in and i made a dash for it. I made it in one piece. Thank God.

This weather is crap!

Reached wdlds mrt stn, hurriedly climbed the escalators and got to the platform with 5 mins to spare. By the time i reached yishun, it was close to 12.15am. Brisk walked to the interchange and managed to get a bus immediately. I suddenly understand how pple on AmAzInG RaCe win. You either have luck or God really loves you. As simple as that.

I am now under attack by the mozzies...this is not good. I am gonna be eaten alive by 1am.

This is Death By Mozzies.

And my sis is really being annoying.

Library Antics...

Here i am in the uni library. I made it back to campus after a 4hr journey frm johor and i havent been back to my dorm room YET. so here i am in the clothes which i have been wearing since 7am this mrng. Lucky they don't stink. I'm so tired like a dodo bird and here i am typing away.

Nothing can tear me away from the internet.

After briefly reuniting myself with my other compatriots, we all sat down to study. Or so we thought. We were supposed to but looking at how frazzled each of our brains were, (some from the whole day of travelling + some who have been in the library since this morning) we all kept talking and laughing, albeit softly, but nevertherless laughing. I missed them. So nice to see them on campus again.

After parking our butts in the library for about less than 45mins, the rest of the gang and me went to hit the pasar malam, (the last visit for this sem) to get dinner and vcds wat else. Alas i was a bit dismayed by the lack of selection of vcds on display. Batman Forever and Batman __(fill in the blanks urself)__ were all there except the one I wanted. Apparently we were all a day too early. So i was left with the choice of getting Mr & Mrs Smith (which was on my list anyway), Mickey (some baseball movie withharry connick jr. in it) and also a lot like love, the movie which stars ashton kutcher. Hope i won't be disappointed with the selections. Cos if i am, its gonna be a pretty boring holiday.

I'm gonna be a very very bz girl this upcoming break. What with all the buzz of activities like the orientation for the new kids on the 24th and floorball (yipeeeee!) and i hope i'll get to catch up with all my other friends. Miss them loads and i cant wait! for azimah to get back from umrah this friday!

Okay, i think this is all the time i can afford to procrastinate, back to the books.

Did i mention i met one of the members of Ahli Fiqir (the botak one) and i couldn't place my finger on who he was. Urgh. It was only at the pasar malam when we were browsing some of the cds that i came across the sleeve for AhliFiqir's album and realised that it was him. And that was my closest brush with a star...you think?

Anyway wish me luck for the exam on friday. I'll need lots of it. Cya guys soon ya?

Blah blah blah...

Wats wrong with me these days...i cant sleep fitfully like i used to, i keep getting annoyed...i dun think its PMS...although i keep thinking about that kilang telur thing (hehehhe it IS hilarious!)...besides that...i just dun get enuf...i want something more...so greedy rite?

I keep asking myself wat else i want out of life...i am fulfilled...im happy. well balanced. i've got great family. great friends. somehow i don't feel complete...

I really wonder wat's missing.

My grandparents adopted another cat. She's probably about 2 months old. And she's a siamese cat with dark brown ears and blue eyes and a coat which gleams in cream. with a dark brown tail to match.

her name is SAWADIKA.

simple deduction by grandpa dearest. siamese cat should have a siamese name. so now she's being called IKA at home...cute, no???

I'm at home now. And exam is cmg this friday. Boo hoo...can i please take the exam at home?

And yes Duchess, we should organize a coup to bring the PreZ down...hehehe...no offence nasir...

And btw dearest Duchess of mine, could i please have my Dan Brown book back once you're done? Thanks. Love you lots.

What i learnt...

There are a couple of things that i managed to learn this week...big things...

I made a big mistake of writing wat i felt immediately...not even sitting back to soak everything up...i made the mistake of not waiting and just let things run its course...noooooo....i had to give these itchy fingers something to type...and in the process i hurt some pple...i really am sorry...you will never imagine the amount of sleep i've lost over this...i know you both won't care but really, that's the truth...but ultimately i think all of us were at fault....

She could have just spoken to me in private...and not accidently blurting everything out...and that was my mistake too...did u ever give the thought that watever he was feeling was something that he was gg thru only by himself and that the other party didnt share the same feelings at all??? And really...you should have waited for a better time to broach the subject...WE should have waited for a better time...he didnt have to go through this when he was gg to enlist...that wasn't fair...on our part....and HE...i would really love to give him a smack on the head...he's such a pig lah...he was/is so insensitive of your feelings...u didnt have to sacrifice so many things....u should have just exploded in his face and give him a piece of your mind...really...

Oh and did you know that ovaries in malay is known as "kilang telur"???? Gawd...how gross is that!?

Fallen star...

This week was particularly maddening and crawling at a snail's pace...not to mention i didn't get to watch the finals of american idol and also the champion's league final match between ac milan and liverpool...

Personally i love italian soccer...somehow english soccer doesn't do anything for me...not to mention the guys in tha italian league are yummier!!! Right shereen? I can totally understand how devastated u feel about ac milan not winning the Cup...somehow muizz's prediction of the match came true...scarey but true...i also remember the time when i got into soccer...it was 2000...eurocup...and sadly italy was denied victory...felt like crying...but at tht point of time i had to concentrate on the O's so it took away some of the pain away i guess...

I am pissed that Vonzell didn't make it to the finals...im so sad...she's tonnes better than Carrie (sorry Fierah) hehehe...this is the ferst time that the person tht i've been rooting for hasn't gotten into the finals...boo hoo...ah well...that's life...it comes with its ups and downs...

There wasn't any class on monday thanks to the Vesak day holiday, so i made my way to campus on monday night...reached campus ard 4.30am...was super duper tired and sleepy...overslept till 11.45!!!! aaacccckkkkk!!!! 2 classes in tht week gone just like that...so sianzzzz....so i practically lepak in my room reading a novel and tht was tuesday gone down the drain...

Wednesday also no class...haiyohhh...if i knew i wouldnt have made my way back to campus...wednesday watched vcd...so relaxed right my life this sem? evening had a meeting...the results of which i can't divulge to some pple reading this blog...it will be known to u next sem k? Just be patient...

Thursday back to singapore again...i really wish i could rack up frequent miles for the number of times i crisscross my way frm SIN-KL and back again...

Today, alhamdullillah, Kak D dah slmt di-ijabkabulkan (betul ke pengunaan istilah aku ni? main hentam je hehehe) besok is her wedding function yeay! Dptlah ku berpakaian glamer! Yahoooo...and not to mention the surprise bdae bash we gonna pull on Ilham...

Oklah before i ruin the surprise i should just leave you guys be...

Lets think abt this for awhile...

First, it wasn't just one IR but TWO...two!

And then the second blow came today: Topless dancing!

Reason given: Singapore is ready for this thanks to bar-top dancing...

What happened to good family values? The epitome of hedonism has arrived my friends...
I don't feel safe anymore...

Actually...

Actually i don't know what to write...im bored half the time im here on campus...no thing really exciting happens lah here...really...well with the exception that some NUS students from the Persatuan Bahasa Melayu came to UIA...no biggie...hehehe...okay okay im lying...the President of the Club is Syed Faisal or Faizal whichever you choose (he was the host of the show Bisnes on Suria in singapore) hehehe...wahakz...kinda dishy hhehehe...yeah lah me and my escapades always must include guys rite or not shereen???

yeah yeah yeah...well wat's life without a bit of excitement kan? Anyway he talked to me! Bwahahahahaha....sheesh big deal...entahlah maybe becos i kinda think he's like a celebrity of sorts...and lemme tell you...he actually does talk like what you see on tv...ahakz...but when he's being formal lah thats all...

Okay enuf bout that...i just simply have to say that Kak Doink chose such a pretty name for her daughter...Sarah Batrisia...macam ala-ala Taufik Batisah kan? heheheh... tak sabar lah plak nak see that little angel in person! I got her a little keychain that has her name and the meaning to her name on the back of the keychain...hope she'll like it once she learns how to read hehehe...

Last week had an assignment and a test! Aaarrrggggghhhh...oklah the test wasn't as hard as the assignment...funny rite? I had to analyse a song...any song and i have no idea WHY i chose Celine Dion's Bcos You Loved Me...why didnt i pick a Taufik Batisah song! Geram lah pulak! Urrggghhhh....and to top ot all off, my class at 4pm today which was scheduled to end at 5.50pm ended at 5 instead! I CAME TO CAMPUS EARLY AND MY CLASS ONLY LASTED AN HOUR! Depressing...but at least im only taking one subject this sem...and i really enjoy HER lessons...hope i don' t disappoint myself or my lecturer...haiyah...exams coming liaowz! Stress again...

At least i'll be able to come back the next 2 weekends! Yipeeeeeeeee

Hmmmmmmmm...

Apparently my blog isn't just visited by students or close friends or friends i've made through the blogging community...it has also attracted my lecturer...yes, my dear lecturer from grammatical analysis (dr. adrian hare) surprised me...and yes i didn't think lecturers had time to surf through and post comments on pple's blogs...much less their students blogs...

I'm just wondering how in the world he got my blog addy!

This is an excerpt from my post dated April 20th:

But there was an upside in the results...I got a B- for my Grammatical Analysis...remember? That was the subject that I failed for mid-sem...i pulled thru! Yippeeeeeeee....thank God there won't be anymore lessons with Dr. Adrian Hare...not that he's a bad lecturer but to see the same lecturer again for the same subject is NOT good at all...i hope that i dun see the day that I repeat a subject...

Dr. Adrian Hare commented:

thanks for the vote of confidence but, 'not a bad lecturer' is damining with faint praise ! do you think that i don't go online ? you can run, but you can't hide !!!! lol

I have no idea whether to be pleased that i've been honoured by such a guest OR that i should start censoring off some stuff that isn't meant for lecturers or adults to read hehehehe...im starting to wonder whether blogging is safe anymore...hehehe...but anyways...thanks Dr. Adrian, it was personally a pleasure of mine for you to have read my blog! :D

till then...i bid u adieu...

Surviving: Satu Petang Bersama Peter Pan

The date was 1st May 2005...I survived the Peter pan concert held at Planet Hollywood...I survived the queuing, heat, sweat, the manhandling ass***** who were not making things easy for us...making it into Planet Hollywood was one thing but to survive the whole 2 hour concert and being on my feet for 8 hours yesterday was another mean feat...but all turned out quite well...I personally had a blast!

The day started at 6am for me...got out of bed and showered, performed morning prayers and proceeded to get ready for the long day ahead...provisions were already made the day before with my water bottle, umbrella, folding fan and tissues to help me throughout the day...left the room at 15mins past 7am and made my way to the bus stop...the first waiting game began with waiting for the Putra feeder bus...it took the bus a whole 40mins to get to where I was...but I guess I must have been used to it cos I didn’t even complain...I guess I was simply too sleepy to begin with...my two other mates, Shasha and Aisyah were already in the bus and we waited for 3 other members of our posse so we could make our way to Dang Wangi LRT station...the journey was uneventful but as soon as we stepped out of our destination’s LRT station we stumbled upon some pple doing filming...tht was only the ferst brush with a camera crew...there was apparently more when we got to Planet Hollywood...

Upon arrival at Planet Hollywood at roughly around 8.30am, we were surprised that there weren’t already pple queuing up for tickets (knowing how kiasu Singaporeans are, we were expecting a crowd that had queued up from the previous night)...so we were ferst in line...but since our empty stomachs got the best of us we left the venue to grab breakfast at McD’s...after abt 20mins of eating and getting some rest we made our way back to the venue and *surprise* there was already a line that was formed! (If only we didn’t go for breakfast!)...but then again we weren’t that far from the entrance into Planet Hollywood...so at 9.30am the second waiting game began...the doors to the establishment only opened its doors at 11.30am and soon the line snaked all the way past the corner and snaked further to the side of the establishment (estbmt) to the back...

At about 10.30am, the sun started to pound on all of us and it was getting a bit hot…thankfully yours truly had enough sense to pack an umbrella and the fan which came in really handy...so we waited and waited and waited some more...somewhere during the duration of the wait, a camera crew started to interview some pple...I was kinda hoping they would come and approach us and then suddenly when our attention wavered they suddenly pounced on us and asked us to say a few words to Peterpan! That was completely brilliant (especially when we found out that the video was for the private viewing of Peter Pan themselves!) we were completely floored and suddenly rendered speechless...they asked us where we were from and the when we said Singapore the guys asked us where...I was kinda confused and didn’t know what he meant and then just left it hanging in the air hehehhe...that was kinda funny...and then they asked us to give us a private message to the members of Peter Pan and then we also forgot to say our names! Urrrggghhhhh! So I managed to give Ariel a special hello from moi! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Close to one we finally made it into Planet Hollywood and managed to purchase the RM40 tickets (which were quite a steal!)...made our way to the back door and went for a short RnR till we had to queue again to get into the estbmt for the concert...thinking that it was showcase we were hoping that the crowd would be small and intimate but we were WRONG!

When we got back to the front door at roughly 1.30pm there was a huge throng of people already crowding the door...and then we all got stuck somewhere in the middle of the throes of people with pple’s shoulders and elbows all over us and we were all squeezed like a tin of sardines...that was when things started to get ugly...

Pple started pushing and shoving, and that’s when I ferst lost it...I screamed loudly and some pple actually shut up but then the riot continued...the pushing and shoving ensued and finally I made it through the door and got my hand stamped with some luminescent ink and made my way to the belly of the establishment...the band was set up and the crowd below was already swelling steadily...unknown to me, Aisyah got separated from me Shasha and Darwis...we started to fear her safety (also becos I was kinda responsible cos I asked her whether she wanted to come along)...finally she emerged along with Mardhiah and Izhar...thank God...the crowd was pretty unnerving outside…but we all managed to escape from it unscathed…so there we were waiting for Peterpan to perform...tht was 2pm and the concert wasn’t due to start till 3pm...the crowd swelled to even bigger numbers and the floor was simply packed with pple without a single inch of space left! So much for thinking that it was a showcase for a small number...kinda disappointed ‘cos it meant that we wouldn’t be able to watch them from up close...

3pm came and Peter Pan was still not in sight! The crowd suddenly became nervy and everyone started to push and shove again...we made our way somewhere to the center but at the back so that we would be safe...at 3.30pm Peter Pan came out and everyone else got too excited again...after ONE song, they left the stage and the crowd got pissed...then only when the crowd relaxed a bit did they come out to perform and tht was at 4pm! And when the concert began, it immediately started to KICKASS! It was fabulous! Everyone was so into the music and the band...they are really good I tell you! Their performance was CD-quality! I was jumping and enjoying the music and finally managed a glimpse of Ariel the vocalist! He is absolutely gorgeous! I ALMOST melted into a puddle hehehe...

Finally when there was a little bit of silence I took the opportunity and then screamed: “ARIEL! I LOVE YOU!!!!”

And he actually said I love you back at me!!!!! Ahakz...I didn’t think I had the guts but hey, when you want to get noticed you gotta be really gung-ho hehehe...And then the songs became up-tempo and the kind you just want to rock to and I started dancing and jumping together with the other 3...I was really hot, tired and sweaty...but I was also really enjoying myself! Then suddenly one of the guys who came to interview us earlier in the day was weaving his way through the crowd with his paparazzi worthy camera and started snapping! Again I took the opportunity and called out to him and pointed to us and he snapped our pic! It was fabulous! Totally fab! When the concert ended we weaved our way back out the door and took gulps of fresh air and got excitedly talking about the whole experience...

Tired and really happy, we quickly went to Sungei Wang Plaza and took refuge at the surau to do our prayers and to take a little breather...after freshening up we walked all the way to KLCC from Bukit Bintang...had dinner, bumped into the Indonesian students having a field day as well (I found one of them especially cute and charming!)...after winding down and finished up the last few remaining shots of the roll of film we bought to document our day (of course we took pics lah! Takkan lah pergi tgk Peter Pan tak bawak camera!)...we trudged back to the LRT station and took the train back to campus…overall…it was one of the highlights of my life I should say...heheheh...can’t wait for the photos to develop! You guys wait patiently k...

This has probably got to be my longest entry EVER...so I‘ll wrap up here!

Ingatkan ku semua Wahai Sahabat...Kita untuk slamanya kita percaya...Kita tebarkan arah dan tak pernah lelah... Ingatkan ku semua wahai sahabat– Peter Pan

Helooooooo darlingssss....

I knoe i'e been away for quite a while...its just that i haven't got around to blogging since im back on campus...with the stuff that's been going on...well...it's left me pretty much tired and in a distressed state half the time...

When i reached campus on sunday afternoon...yes, i got there a day earlier...i registered and searched for my new room...fortunately it wasn't on the 5th level but on the 3rd...the downside about it is that i had to heave other people's stuff away from my stuff in the store room...everyone else's things were piled on top of mine and mind you the pile was as high as the door! And i had to move and lift pple's boxes and luggage bags so that i could take my boxes out...by the time i moved them all, i was already tired and then i had to lift them to the 3rd level...bummer!

Once i got my stuff to the room i had to clean the shelves and put everything into place...this meant unpacking and i simply hated doing all that! But by 6pm everything was under control...mind you this was only day one...

Day two meant going for classes and doing manual registration if the need arose...I was trying to schedule another class but to my dismay the lecturer simply refused to let me into her class...reason being: there were too many people in tht class already...i was frustrated and pissed like nobody's biznes...and it was only the ferst day of school! Later on tht day, i went for my 4pm class and i found out tht there were less than 10 pple in the class...less than 10 meant that the class would have to be SHUT DOWN automatically! so i was practically fretting and running around like a headless chicken...-screw this semester man!-...

To make things worse, electricy in my room went down on monday afternn leavg me wif no electricity to iron my clothes! Becos of that i couldnt go to my tues mrng class...crap...the saga continued way after 2pm on tuesday afternn when i tried to iron my clothes at my fren's room...on the way down i slipped and fell on my butt courtesy of the worn out toilet slippers...and now i have a bruising on my butt the size of a saucer in the shape of a crescent and its as purple as the decor in my room...and i can't even sleep on my back...

Anyways...this week im not cmg home cos im gonna be watching Peterpan live at Planet Hollywood! Yeay!!!!! Jgn jeles ahhhhh hehehehe....tooodlessss

My Holiday By Maryam aka Mary/Rya

Ok ok i noe the title is a tad bit childish but isn't that what all teachers ask their students at the end of their vacations? Heheh...well anyways...to sum up my holiday, i would rate it an 8 out of ten!

8 because my bdae fell on the 8th of April and i had a wonderful bdae by the beach...thanks to all the pple responsible towards making my 21st bdae one tht i shall remember for life...My parents of course, Maklong, my grandparents, my family, frens (Shereen, Azimah, Zakiah,Kho, Ais, Zaleha, Najib, Huzei and Su plus many others)

Thanks for all the lovely pressies and the wonderful day tht I enjoyed with you guys...love u byk-byk!

Other than tht, i managed to catch up on some reading...books courtesy of my fren Taufiq (Chua not Batisah okay) and my sister...and i finally managed to re-read The DaVinci Code... and i loved the fact i didnt have to analyse one single bit! I am looking forward to borrowing Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series frm Sue!

My holiday failed to get a perfect score reason being:
1)almost all my friends are working
2) shereen sitting for exams
3) and i was ultimately broke
But all's good...

Okaylah pple gue mau tido...i have an extremely long day tomorrow which begins at daybreak...wish me luck for the new semester...i'll miss all of you...friends both Old and New...thanks for being there for me...muackz...

A special shout out to the AISS peeps...oits! ingat 7th may eh! kiter gi bowling! yeay! syg korang semua...kalau bleh dpt hazizul call dier suruh dier turun...he's cmg back frm taiwan on monday tak salah...and chase after the peeps that havent' cfm! All the best shereen for the rest of ur papers!

Vote for Bhumiband on ERA!

Bhumiband during their vid-shoot of DIA

Ookay pple! Lend a hand to this local Singapore outfit...help them make waves in Malaysia! I'm counting on you guys!

U can catch them in Malaysia now on ERA (the cable channel on Astro) with their current hit single "Dia"...

t.w.o. of the loves of my life

zak & shahidah

Ooooohhhhh thankies so much darls for making the end of my vacation a bit more bearable...im so glad u guys were game enough to come along and bowl...at least we all know we won't make ourselves look that silly on the 7th of may...it was a gd dry run to the upcoming 7th of may! I. am. so. excited!!!!! -all im hoping for now is for the guys not to back out! (i will personally strangle them if they do!)-

Today on the other hand, i had a much bigger agenda...i went for my first virgin experience at a SPA! wohooooo...courtesy of my aunt in conjunction with my 21st birthday...i heart you maklong! muackz! and i tell you...the facial is not a walk in the park...i was practically wincing (and tearing) in pain!

She prodded and poked my face with some stick for my blackheads and used some sort of needle to get something out of my skin on the nose...sounds like a torture chamber right? okay then i'll just stop here...i dont want to scare pple off...

but overall, the whole experience was very enlightening...i lurve the exclusiveness of it all becos its a women's only access area so i didn't feel so 'segan'...the massage was fab! although my neck is still begging to be kneaded...i even fell asleep during the facial!

i only have this to to sum up my experience : no pain; no gain...that's the price of beauty...take it or leave it...

i have one day left...i hope it brings more excitement and surprise! -lets hope that it isnt a farce-

D was mentioned...it has sunk to tht level...it sucks lemme tell ya...and it is no fun at all...i think i have to stop fretting and agonising over wat is to come...right now...i need space...a lot of breathing space...and i need to find myself again...

i'll make myself scarce again in the near future...dont ask my why...just leave it be...you noe where to find me...

yours truly

BAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

I dunno whether i feel stupid or extremely smart...apparently i unsuspectingly made a big boo-boo...hehehhe...Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned u GUNDU!

I don't even noe why im so worked up but it just kills me...not having an ounce of hope is bad enough...

Oh forget it...again...

...Fading Into Oblivion...
Results Schemesults...

Yesterday was D-day...yeah, u got it...wat i anticipated...well yeah i did get wat i anticipated...Like for Shakespeare...tht was the only subject that i've done well throughout the semester...so the deserved A- was not surprising...but Poetry! Sheeshhhhhhh.....all i could muster was a B+...not that i'm not ber-syukur or anything...but I feel like i disappointed Kak Tj...i feel miserable...

Not to mention the fact that i bombed on my IRK subject again...only managing to get a C for Sciences Of Hadith...not surprising there...it was an uphill struggle all the way...im glad i managed a pass...but its not enough! When the hell am i gonna get to the mighty peak...Dean's List...3.5 for my CGPA???? I need this badly...ugh this is gonna drive me nuts...

So again i make this resolution...to study harder!!!! More focus thats wat i need...

And i need my ticket to heaven...where is it anyway!?

Babyville by Jane Green

here's another excerpt for you:

...Mark was termed a nice guy and what can possibly be worse than that? At school he was ther girls' best friend because he was good-looking and therefore good to be seen with, but too nice to want to go out with. So nice he was even considered dull...

Now this really rings alarms in my head...dull? Am i really dull? Apparently my sister and cuzzin think so. I bring in the loser parade...and she thinks everyone associated with me is uncool or unglamorous for the likes of her...No...them...

They do all the fun stuff (and not to mention things tht could get them spanked) and always and i mean ALWAYS leave me out...it sucks...suddenly im an outsider to my own sister and an outcast in my own house...I feel like crap...I cant even sleep cos they seem to be taking over the whole bedroom...making giggling noises and being all secretive...argh...i cant wait to go out tomorrow and forget tonight...
