The Deed is Done.

Before i leave for KL tomorrow, i have to clear all outstanding work.

Inclusive of my OBSERVATION!

It happened today at 10.40am.

I was a nervous wreck.

*i shldn't have felt that nervous. i was as prepared as i could be, but yet the nerves got to me*

i had lesson all planned out

For analogy i used, D*ianah S*uhaimi's article (10.8.08) on "B*eing the L*east F*avourite C*hild"

Which i thought was pretty apt for classroom work as well as complying to their request of wanting a "controversial" topic haha.

If you have no idea what i'm talking about. Read the article here.

I also had interesting examples of irony and simple enough for them to understand the topic.

All in all, i thought it turned out pretty well despite the classroom hiccups that were posed earlier on in the period.

So what were the comments that were given to me?

NONE YETTT!!!

I have to wait till tomorrow before i can get my review.

This is what has been bugging me the most since i got my contract teaching posting.

The observation bit.

Cos its a BIG component in determining whether i enter N*IE next yr or not.

Hopefully i get a gd work review.

Right now im down with the sniffles.

Must get better before heading down to KL tomorrow!

I'm gg home immediately today. No hanging around in sch.

And its POUUUURRRIIIIINNNNNNGGGG cats and dogs in yishun by the way!

Nothing like a good nap in the cold weather.

Love, love, love...

I loveee being at home, just mooching around the house and walking aimlessly (and sleepily)...

I love that my mom wasn't at home the whole of yesterday (thus spared from her nagging, hurhur, well she did enjoy her date with her gerlfrens ahakz)

And i love that YOU called! :D

I treasure the smallest things that you do for me.

Thank YOU love.

So before all of you upchuck your breakfast/lunch/dinner, i shall not bore you with such mind-numbing details.

So, how was the whole week in school?

Basically i had a hard time with ONE class.

I have a high rate of absenteeism and i think i know why.

But before i go on, i want to say SORRY especially to ALL my JC teachers for giving you all grief

Karma has bitten me right on my ASS.

Why?

Well, a couple of weeks ago, one of my close gfs (who also happens to be a (sec. sch.) teacher) mentioned about how she came about "inheriting" her students.

*She comes from a school with plenty of disciplinary problems*

She said that this is all karma for being mean to one of her teachers when she was in sec. sch.

So it got me thinking: I once skipped a lot of school when i was in jc.

And ta-daaahhhh, thus being handed a class with lots of students being absent from my class.

Imagine a class of 18 (for Project Work) and only SEVEN turning up???

And another class of 24 (for GP) and only 8-10 pple turning up???

I related this story to my students.

I told them to change their habits before karma smacks THEM in the ass.

I think some of them got the idea.

Next week, I'll be having my OBSERVATION.

By a senior teacher.

Wish me luck pple!

Guilty...

Yes, sometimes I feel really guilty.

I have evil thoughts running through my mind.

I shouldn't even be thinking about it.

Anyway...

I've been sooo tired and soooo lazy to wake up for school!

I think it must be the fact that i had an extremely long weekend and spent EVERY single day out.

From National Day, the Day After National Day (a.k.a Adam's Birthday) to Monday (school holiday)

I went to watch the National Day Parade at the Esplanade.

I was feeling lousy and once i arrived at City Hall and saw the GINORMOUS crowd i felt like going back on the train and going back to Yishun.

And then i had to "chope" places for the gerls and there were sooo many pple that were clamouring for our spot.

And then it started to RAIN!!!

Thankfully it wasnt a heavy downpour.

But things started to look up once the rest of the gerls arrived to join me and Kha.

And things got even better when we were united with Shasha, Darwis and Seri.

And it got even merrier when Dewi joined us! Hahaha...

Listening to her re-tell her "toilet" story to Aisyah Spec and Kha was priceless.

We were in TEARSSSS laughing!

Coupled with the "helmet terbalik" story courtesy of Suli made the night a joyous occasion.

We went to Kampung Glam Cafe for supper and it was fully paid for by Maman, Kha's brother who joined us later that night.

Alhamdulillah!

Better yet, I got a lift from Kha and her bro by CAB!! Yeayyyyy! :D

So the day that started out like CRAP ended up to be a really great time.

Thanks girls for making it a memorable night.

Our first National Day together back Home *where i beloooonnnng....*

Love you lots!

Pics coming up soon!

Hot POTATO

I have an inkling of a feeling that im coming down with something.

My throat has been quite scratchy.

Its come to a point where its getting difficult to swallow.

And i have a gut feeling that its tonsilitis.

So i googled tonsilitis and i came up with this:

Symptoms of tonsillitis include a severe sore throat (which may be experienced as referred pain to the ears), painful/difficult swallowing, headache, fever and chills, and change in voice causing a "hot potato" voice. Tonsillitis is characterized by signs of red, swollen tonsils which may have a purulent exudative coating of white patches (i.e. pus). There may be enlarged and tender neck cervical lymph nodes.

What in the world is Hot Potato voice????
Takkan lah serak² basah kan? Serak² basah bukan macam hot potato per? Hot potato kan kering? Hahahaaa

Haha...i wanna LoL but it hurts.

Guess i'll just have to laugh on the inside...teeheehee

I'm exhausted.

Despite the fact that i slept at 10.30pm last night!!!

Bed time is getting earlier and earlier.

I'll see how bad it is tomorrow.

If it gets any worse then i'll take MC on friday for a SUPERRR LOONNNNG weekend!

*Monday is a school holiday! Yeay!!!*

Now what can i do to soothe my throat?

I'll Make This Quick...

I am tired!

Tired of marking all those scripts!

*Must not forget to give Thanks*

This friday i will be looking forward to the National Day Observance cum College Day cum Sports Day.

Kg. Glam & The Babes (plus Awis!)

After marking 40 over GP scripts, i decided to take a break and regain my sanity by going out earlier yesterday evening.

-marking my class scripts definitely put me into a fit of giggles and hysteria most of the time haha-

Yes, there were stories about Spiderman and one verrryyy hungry student.

*Mental note: Must remind my kids to take their b'fast before going for test/exam*

That aside, I made my way to Arab St. (twice this month!) to meet the girls and Awis.

Our special surprise celebration to commemorate Seri's 25th Belated B'day went off without a hitch.

She was all smiles and I'm glad we could make her happy with our small token :D

Of course, when we get together its impossible NOT to take pics, and

this time we went to the LoveGetty/Neoprint store in Bugis Junction to snap away!

-pic courtesy of Sue Lee-

Haha, that was a RIOT!

Actually, the one that made us laugh the most was Kak Dewi with her most unforgettable experience in her 7 month teaching career.

Thank YOU Kak Dewi for entertaining us!!! *hahahahahahahahahahaha*

To those that were there there, paham² ajelah eh hehehe. *Story cannot be reprinted!*

Neway THANKS girls for relieving my harassed brain. Ahakz.

Love ya lots!

How's It Been?

Three days into the teaching service and how has it been?

Minus monday and tuesday, it has been pretty slow.

I have already been assigned TWO GP classes of first year students to teach.

And alhamdullillah, the students have been kind to me.

No signs of being bullied YET!

Hahaha.

Neway, my kids are nice kids.

Struggling (just like i was once before in that VERY same school) and desperately trying to get their head above the water.

Judging from the scripts that i'm currently marking (yes i have TWO piles of GP marking to do ALREADY), some have problems in getting their point across.

But that's where i come in anyway right?

Today marked my first day of Teaching Prepatory Program (TPP) at Teacher's Network.

And i have been truly blessed to get such a dynamic fascilitator.

Thanks Miss P!

*so much for my colleague putting a damper on things the day before :p*

Tomorrow is another exciting day of training!

Can't wait to go to class tomorrow!!!!

Hello World!

Yes. I am finally back after an almost one week holiday!

Where did i go off gallivanting to?

Genting and KL.

-where else lah rite?-

but believe it or not, it was my FIRST time to Genting.

And quite unplanned this trip was.

It was upon special request.

Of my special someone to join his friends for a short getaway.

So it was kinda like our first official trip together.

*smile*

It was sweet.

The trip was truly memorable.

Cos there were kids on our trip!

A five yr old, four yr old, 3 year old and 5 month old baby!

Thank you Afifah, Naufal, AnnaDi (ini nama gelaran pasal nama betul i langsung tak tau!) and Andi!

So you can kind of imagine the chaos and the NOISE! these kids make.

Its been a while since i was surrounded by kids of a young age, especially since many of my cousins are now in their teens.

I forgot how noisy we were to our parents.

But thankfully, these kids tired themselves out and fell alseep by themselves! Hahaha...

So while the kids were sleeping, the adults "ton"

Stay up lah wat else.

We stayed at the Crown Regency Serviced Suites at Jln. P. Ramlee which was a stone's throw away frm KLCC.

Surrounding the apartment were clubs and we just happened to be in KL over the weekend. And it was SUPERRRR noisy!

So we just spent time watching the bapoks and the nyahs downstairs selling their services and most of the time i spent time listening to Him and his friends regaling their childhood memories.

*i am ALWAYSSS the youngest in these groups i have no idea why! plus we were the ONLY umarried/youngest couple*

But it was nice to be with him for 4 whole days!

*BLISS*

Cos i only meet him about once a month.

So this month was a treat! :D

I also got to meet and old friend from UIA.

Miss Nore!

Someone i havent seen in almost a year.

But i always call her and share with her updates on myself and whats happening with her.

Thanks Darling for the lovely bag! And thanks for meeting me at KLCC over the weekend!

And when i got back on Sunday night, my mom told me that i received a letter from M*OE.

The moment i reached home at one in the morning my mother INSISTED that i open the letter.

Lo and behold, it was my POSTING!

So next week i will officially be teaching in YISHUN JUNIOR COLLEGE!

OMG!!!!!

I can't believe i will be a college lecturer.

*still pinching myself*

So that my friends is Destination 21st July!

Yeahooooooo!

So i will be teaching GP (gasp!) and English Lit!

Not to mention, some of my GP lecturers and Lit lecturers are STILL there!

And i am hoping that i get to join Mdm. Shelia (my CCA teacher i/c) as a co-teacher i/c of floorball!

Especially since i still play and occasionally train in YJC with my old coach!

So tomorrow i have to arrange and schedule a meeting with my P!

*still pinching self*

Alhamdullillah, i have reached my goal!

And even though i made a detour to UIA (which was a good thing in fact!) it definitely didn't stop me from pursuing what i've always wat i wanted to...

TEACH!

Side-track: I have been sooooo hormonal over the weekend especially since i was sick.

And having the bf pretty much ignoring me for almost the whole day really wrecked me inside.

Thankfully, i am no longer the clingy gf i used to be.

And i still miss u.

Super duper lots.

ASSIIUM Family Day

It was a scorching hot day.

The perfect setting for a beach-side event.

The company was cool.

Food and drink were plenty.

And i must say that the EXCO and games masters/mistresses did a FINE job!

Too bad so many pple (esp the seniors) could not swing by.

They would definitely admire our closeness.

I truly do believe they envy us.

Yes...cos the juniors aren't close anymore.

There, I've said it.

Its out in the open already.

They have undone all our hardwork and its sad to see that they don't have strong leadership.

I hope that the new EXCO will help to strengthen ties and bring ASSIIUM back to its former glory.

InsyaAllah.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the organisers for a great time!

I really enjoyed myself.

Despite the turnout.

I reallly enjoyed the games.

Especially the bouldering!

Next event: Another rock climb?

*since i missed the previous one during my time as EXCO*

Zahir, Zaidah, Awis, Fadiah

listening to instructions from the games master; Awis
taking the time to pose while blindfolded!

-my team mates-

Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the PICS!

I've Got Some Things On My Mind...

Yes.

It has been bugging me for more than a week.

I can't stand keeping my mouth shut.

Not for fear.

It just bugs me thats all.

I just can't understand why there are individuals who can't stand up for themselves.

And how they push EVERYTHING away.

Pretending like its ok.

Pushing and pushing.

And then when its too late, they'll realise they've got nothing else BUT themselves.

Fine.

If that's how THEY want to live then so be it.

It annoys me how ONE person makes a whole lot of difference.

But not for the good of mankind.

Even when the rest has been there for them.

I guess not.

Oh PLUS

I can't understand why people keep giving chances to others when they've already Fcuk-ed up their life.

Not once.

Not twice.

Not even three times but more.

Shouldn't they have gotten the boot by now?

3 times warrants for a strike doesn't it?

I'm sorry but i just couldn't look at ur face.

Because YOU really disgust me.

How u've hurt pple.

And how u've taken advantage of others.

But most of all,

I cant get why YOU set up yourself to get hurt again.

Now that i've got that all off my chest,

I feel relatively better.

Euro 2008

I meant to mention this since EuroCup started.

I hate you S*tarhub C*able for NOT giving us the privilege to watch the EuroCup!

Other countries get it FREE-TO-AIR.

This is just plain daylight-midnight-noontime robbery!

How can you deny me the pleasure of watching the Euro!!!!

On another note:

The Oranje has been crushed!

They lost 1-3 to Russia!

What a SHOCKER!

So now, i think the only BIG name that remains is Italy.

I think.

Germany is still in. *Bluekz*

Lets hope that they get through tonight!

I'd hate to imagine that they'd lose.

Well then, since i can't watch the match, I guess the next best thing to do is....

SLEEP!
