Wats New?

It feels like eons that i've updated this blog of mine...i can practically see the cobwebs forming...i've just been extremely bz and exhausted to even blog...maklumlah, balik singapore ni kita jadi pembantu separuh masa gitu...

So wats shaking? I've been bumming around at home mostly...being cashless doesnt really give u another alternative...other than going out with shereen the other day to feed her craving of sushi i've been pretty much at home...

Me and shereen, we went all the way to chai chee just to get the only halal sushi around singapore and then made our way back to sembawang to meet up wif anna...i felt like a gooseberry...i mean hullo...i was the only one there not studying for an exam...but i still brought work to do...mainly setting tht exam paper for my mom...i thot setting it was just setting the main paper but i had to do the composition section too...bummer...so there i was, wif my big bulky dino age laptop while anna was opposite me, hammering away at her swanky HP laptop tht was a quarter the weight of my lappie...i HAVE to do something about tht...

I visited the website for my uni and 'voila' ... exam results will be out on the 19th!!!! Horror of horrors...

Now im starting to get really worried...i hope i will pull thru...especially sciences of Hadith...

I'm left with just a week of my holiday!!!!!!!!!! Time sure flies when u're having fun! Ugh...just think...no more cycling by ecp with the white puffy clouds that adorn the bright blue sky and the beautiful sunny Singapore sky...and not to mention breathing in less polluted air as compared to KL...really...u can actually smell the difference...

On another note...a voice from my past has come...funny cos we never have spoken like face to face even back in school...he was always teasing and bullying me...and he was my classmate for God's sake...now he sms' me which is pretty unnerving...i have no idea wats going on and i don't really like being in the dark...

And the other party...well...i have no words to describe...he practically tells me to stay away frm him...jealousy? I have no idea...the funny thing is...we haven't even seen each other since i got back...the last time i saw him being almost 2 months ago...kinda missing him...oh forget it....

I'm gonna meet Huda! Yeay...finally after ages...and she's gonna get engaged...geez...everyone's growing up...

Umi is working, Marliana and Azura both got into NTU (I'm so happy for the both of you!), Azimah still trying to get into NTU and NIE candidates Zak and Shahidah are still waiting...Shereen in the meanwhile is trying to cope with exam stress...and me...i'm 21, starting a new semester in less than 2 weeks...and i still feel like my adolescence was robbed from me...wish i could turn back time...

This weekend gonna meet up with alumni members of UIA...this should be an eyeopener...and not to mention i will get to meet up with old faces! Pasir Ris park here i come!

Long time No See

I haven't updated my blog since last week! Geez...its taken quite a while for me to write but yeah..i have been really really bz over the last weekend...

Lets see, there was the dinner sponsored by my sis at Lestari (with the whole family; a rarity these days) and then a day at East Coast Park wit ma UIA mates...thanks so much guys...i totally enjoyed the day...the cake, the cycling, the bowling...the perfect weather...wat else? Of course, the bowling and the 2 guys tht were willing enuf to tolerate 4 giggling girls...thanks especially to Najib and Huzei...tak boleh lupakan these pple esp: Kho, Aisyah Spec and Zaleha. Thanks for planning the day...it was WONDERFUL!

And on Saturday sambung jalan² lagi...Shereen and Azimah made me close my eyes and I had to walk to Far East Plaza ngan my eyes closed all the way frm Tangs...sheesh...im sure i got some pretty strange stares...

They made plans to eat there at a place called Constant Cravings...tapi tutup! Ish...3 times i went there and it was always closed! So fed up!.. -*^&*&^%%^%$^%(&^%_)(_+_)$@@!$#$-...Geram dibuatnyer!

But luckily enuf, they were prepared wif a Plan B...B standing for Breeks! Yeay yeay! Best lah...thrice tht week org blanje makan...die...when i get back to UIA i must go swim like everyday...the food was okaylah...must go back to try the Baked Pasta...

Okay thts besides the point...i got really lovely pressies frm Su (a little bag frm Little MatchGirl) and frm Shereen and Zak and Azimah a bag...geez i think it was that obvious that i havent been buying bags at all... tak sabar nak pakai bag tu kat campus! Eeeeeeeeeeeee why in the world am i thinking abt sch oredi! Sheesh...stop it!

So again, a big thanks to all those who made my bdae this yr a really great one! I was having a bad drought the past few years...but this yr and so on...im coming back wif a BANG!

I R soooo exhausted...

When will self-cleaning toilets be realised? It had better be soon because i think i've inhaled so much fumes frm toilet cleaning products...

And honestly, why do my siblings and parents complain when i come back every week? I seem to be the one handling all the chores when i come home...

Lets hope sister dearest gets a high paying job so she can hire two maids...-one to cook and and one to clean up after her-...cos she cant cook for nuts and doesnt know how to go abt cleaning toilets...sheesh...

Now that i have plenty of time....

Since i haven't been out the whole of this week...i resorted to holing myself up in my room and settle down with a good read...apparently my sister has been raiding some book store at bras basah and she got some pretty good deals...

One of them happen to be Erma Bombeck's The Ties That Bind...And Gag. It's such a good read...hilarious yet witty...and with chapters titled The family that plays together...shouldn't, For better or for worse - but not for Lunch...you just cant stop grinning from ear to ear

Here's an excerpt for you to enjoy:

...And when I pounded on the door and shouted, "What are you doing in there?" the response was always the same. "Nothing."

"Nothing" translates into something quite different for a parent and a child.

"Nothing" to a parent means you are staring into space with your hands in your lap, your eyes glazed, and your breathing shallow.

When a child says "nothing," that is a signal for parents to dial 911. He is usually doing "nothing" behind a closed bathroom door, a dog is barking, water is running under the door, a sibling is begging for mercy, and there is a strange odor of burning fur and the sound of a thousand camels running in place...

Hmmm...now where have we all heard that story before?

I'll leave you all to your own devices now...ciao!

Hygiene, and the little things that make my BROTHER cry

Ok so the title is a bit odd...but nevermind that...

Unknowingly to me, my uni mate had a fear factor-ish lunch at the canteen where we always get our food...apparently there was a LIZARD cooked together with her nasi goreng sotong...she has since vowed not to eat her former fav. dish ever again...Ugh...reminds me of my creepy crawlie incident too...

Last Sunday after happily completing my Poetry paper, i headed right back to my dorm...on the way, i stopped over at the hostel canteen to get lunch so tht i wouldnt have to go back and forth later on...so i bought a packet of chicken rice and a packet of teh-ais...got back to my room...took a shower and had a nap before zuhur and lunch...so ard. 3pm, i woke from my deep slumber, prayed and proceeded to have my lunch...I was all alone in the room since 2 of them went back to Kedah and my Law roomie went to her fren's room in one of the neighbouring block...after downing the lunch, i took long sips from my drink to quench my thirst...SUDDENLY...there was this thing in my mouth...it felt a bit hairy...and was the size of a lime seed...

I don't think i was able to speak after what i saw when i took it out of my mouth....it was a BABY ROACH!!!!

U can imagine my disgust...i was speechless...i almost hurled everything out...but lets just say i was a bit too shocked to comprehend how that thing got into my drink in the ferst place...

It was only when my roomie got back and I told her wat happened tht the both of us started to squeal and shriek in utmost horror...and mind you, she almost took a sip out of tht unfinished packet of drink...

After tht we both joked abt tht little creature tht managed to land itself in my drink...things ranging from:

Teej: "Mmmm...that must have been the most tastiest lunch ever huh" *cue giggle*

she couldn't resist poking fun at me and continued...

Teej: "So did anything else in your mouth go CRUNCH??"

and i came back with this line...

Me: *shows her my teeth* so do u see any bits of roach legs dangling in between my teeth? *cue the disgusted shrieks*

I think the other pple in the neighbouring rooms must have been wondering what we were up to squealing so loudly...

So about my brother...heheh...being the little imp that he is...trying to fool everyone...he eventually go a taste of his own medicine...

My father asked him where his locker key was - he then claimed that it was in his wallet-...

So just to be sure, my dad asked him to show him the key itself...my youngest brother kept insisting tht it was safe inside his wallet and saying...-"SECRET! Cannot tell you!"-...okay fine...

But my father kept on insisting and then said:

Papa: "Ah ni mesti dier dah hilangkan locker key dier lah"

Suddenly that little boy burst into tears and said he lost his key...ahakz...all that effort for nothing...it was hilarious...my dad and i were laughing at his expense and his weeping got louder...

Adam: "But i put my key inside my wallet...then when i took it out again it was gone! Betooooolllllll" (continues crying again)

Ahakz...funny boy...

It's these little things that make you crack up when you reflect back upon it...

Finito, Khalas, Dah hAbEs, Done!

At long last, the day that i've been so looking forward to has come...MY EXAMS ARE OVER... yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Alhamdullillah, the last paper was such a joy to sit for...i completely enjoyed doing the paper. First three qns were alright and hopefully i've got 30 marks in the bag...

I felt like doing cartwheels and backflips when i left the exam hall...kluar siang lak tu...hehehehe...i was just exhilarated! Its always a great feeling when you're done with exams isn't it?

Anyways, i'm coming home tomorrow! Yeay, endless hours of chatting n nothingness to do...here i come! But then again when i look into my bank account i feel like crying...so i guess i'll have to do some relief teaching to top-up on my moolah...P/S: if any one of you have relatives that want tutoring could you get back to me pls? I'm in a serious state of desperation already...

But this holiday I have my birthday to look forward to, my friend's wedding, and InsyaAllah the arrival of little Doinky...wow...i think its definitely gonna be one hell of a great holiday...not to mention someone that i have in mind...

Now i have to go and clear all the junk in my room and finish packing them into their boxes...cya in Singapore! Yeahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

P/S: Happy Belated Birthday Azimah! You're the ferst of us to turn 21! You're legal *wink wink* heheheh. I hope you like our presents...Muacks! Love you!

Exam's Almost Over

Ok skrg i tgh ambik break sekejap...dah takleh carry, lagik-lagik kalau your next paper is titled: Sciences Of Hadith...

So there are two more papers left one tomorrow and the other on Sunday...what a bummer, paper on Sunday...sheesh...anyway i'll be back by Monday! Yeay! After a month of staying in KL...see, i've finally managed to convince many pple that i CAN stay here in KL for a month! I'm so proud of this small accomplishment...

So what's on my agenda when i come home? I plan to head to East Coast and have a ball of a time even if i do go alone, im gonna enjoy feeling the sand in between my toes and the smell of the salty sea breeze mingling with the other lovely scents that wat by the beach...lovely, just lovely...

After a day at the beach i'll probably read all the books that i've wanted to read all semester, nope, not textbooks but a lovely novel courtesy of Taufiq and then just chill till my 21st bdae rolls around...i've had pretty lousy bdays the past few years...i remember it as being pretty lonely...was pretty disappointed with last year's bdae. Anyway, i'm hoping for a better bdae this yr...InsyaAllah...

Oklah i think i've had a enough of this stiff keyboard...the damn keys are so hard to press on! Argh, they're driving me nuts! Till the next time...toodles...

Exam Stress

Tiap-tiap kali sampai di hujung semester, setiap pelajar akan ditemukan dengan dugaan yg amat besar: EXAM...Paling tak suka lah masa ni, nanti makan nyer tak terurus, tido jgn cakap lah...makin lambat pelajar itu tido ataupun dier tak tido langsung...yerlah burn the midnight oil lah katakan...ader kalanyer revise buat pertama kali malam sebelum exam tu...aper nak buat...kalau test tak habes-habes even up till exam period...-sorry hah gue bukan berbicara tentang diri sendiri-...

Daripada nak elakkan stress org-org yg sedang sebok revise, i decided to take a little break by "balik kampung" ...memang kalau tak balik kampung korang pun tak akan dpt melihat satu post dari yours truly sampai akhir bulan march ini...pengsan...dah lah kat uni haprak tu internet connection bleh buat org jadi giler...

So gue pun naik bas smlm dari pudu ke seremban terminal one and trus menaiki bus ke kuala pilah...ferst time you all...kebetulan aderlah kakak ni dari uia jugak yg nak balik k.pilah, jadi dierlah yg beritahu kiter which stop to alight at...so eventually gue sampai kampung sikai after 5pm...lama tau...lima jam dari uia...ni lah gara-gara tunggu bas nak gi seremban close to 2 hrs...

So after a 2 day respite from UIA i'll be making my move back to campus tomorrow mrng to the train station at seremban to hitch a ride on the commuter all the way back to KL...i have 4 more papers...haiz...biler lah sem ni nak habes...rasa macam dah lebih sebulan aku duduk kat msia...i hope pple back home are missing me as much as im missing them...

Arabic was a bummer...but luckily managed lah thanks to Liza...kalau dier tak bagitau aper topic yg akan kluar then i would have been a dead DUCK...so wats left of my papers?

Shakespeare (19th March)

Grammatical Analysis (21th March)

Sciences Of Hadith (25th March)

Poetry (27th March)

InsyaAllah kalau seorang jejaka itu pass lesen kereta dier, he and his friend will come to KL and den kiter convoy balik ke Sg sama-sama! Yahooooo....they ought to....save me frm this icky place....akan ku doakan bahawa encik firdaus akan pass dgn cemerlang...awaiting korang nyer arrival ni...dgn penuh sabar....oklah...adios amigos...kalau ader comment ke, ape-ape ke, tuliskan lah semua hasrat dalam hatimu itu di tagboard...kalau masa mengizinkan then i will visit my blog...so salam buat semua dan doakan jugalah utk ku menghadapi exam ku semua...

Better Left Unsaid...

When u get back to campus at 4.30am in the morning, there are certain things that u need to avoid saying.

Example:

1) "What's that sweet smelling aroma? Do you guys smell that?"

and

2) "Kho, betul ke tadi kiter nampak taxi tu?"

At any circumstance, try not to freak your friend out...just keep the conversation light...ahakz...and don't EVER ask stupid questions....

Other than that, my week has been packed and muscles are all sore...but im happy to say that anak Singapura (the ladies team) ASSIUM (assoc. of s'pore students of IIUM) telah mengalahkan kumpulan Indonesia dari Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia (3-1) dalam perlawanan pusingan kedua...Ini bermakna bahawa pelajar Singapura telah memenangi pertandingan FUTSAL itu dengan agregat 5-1...YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Not forgetting the Singapore brothers that defeated Indonesia that night with a narrow margin of 1-0. Unfortunately, the Thai brothers walked away as the big winners on Tuesday night with a win against Singapore & Indonesia with the scoreline of 4-0 in each game...Congratulations to the Thai brothers...InsyaAllah this sporting event will help us to strengthen the Ukhuwwah amongst us...Amin

Gambar blum boleh nak load lagik pasal pc kat campus semua haprak...connection slow giler...pas tu yg kat cybercafe lak takder USB drive pasal pc bangsa yg dah berzaman nyer....so bear with me lah...k?

Nanti kalau gambar dah up boleh lah korang drool over the mamat-mamat thai and indonesia...

Oklah...sebelum aku log out...nak cakap sket...I MISH YOU ALL! Gonna be back in 2 weeks time InsyaAllah...lepas exam lah...revision tak start lagik...mampos gue...

Toodles!

Fingers poised now...

The clock is ticking...waiting for the digits to show 5...getting ready to hear the gleeful clicks on my mouse...tapping and hammering away furiously as i jostle and push my way amongst the hundreds of other students...the time is now...no more waiting...

Haiz i just checked my semester III and semester I time-table and its a bummer just looking at it...very depressing...this semester for me ends on the 27th of march and the next semester will begin again on the 25th of april...giving me less than a month to party??? huh??? this is NUTS...

Again after scanning the schedule again...i saw...-gasp-...tht eidul-fitr will be smack in the middle of my semester I final exams...this means...no more jalan2 at the bazaar...wherever it'll be this yr...i was so looking forward to it!

and no getting the food that you only get once a year...haiz...3 days of eidul-fitr break smack in the middle of exams is a joke...i didn't even get a decent eidul-fitr last year...and this yr's has to go down the drain as well??? No fair!

And 3 finals in a yr isnt going down very well...count your lucky stars tht some of you reading this don't have to sit for any more exams...they're just the BANE of my existence this very instant...

APM 2005

Itu dier Peterpan menaiki escalator...

Okay okay so the pic is blurry and its a tad too far...hehehe but thats the best i could do...sorry peeps...

The account for that day? Well it started off like any ordinary Friday...a very HOT friday...the weather was making me very tired and giving me a bad migraine...but THAT didnt deter me...so i got ready, met my darling Zak...then off we went to Suntec...we were pretty early so we managed to get a view of some of the stars roll up to the Red Carpet...got to see the likes of Kris Dayanti and hubby, the four hosts: Sarah & Aznil, Shanty and Adi respectively...so the list goes on...

After meeting up wif Zak's sister, we went out and got a spot nearer to where the stars alighted from their vehicles...MONDO mistake...when they got out, they quickly walked to where the 2 hosts a the red carpet were...aiyahs...wasted...so we were practically basking in the SPOTLIGHTS and i was feeling the major pounding of my migraine so i took a time out and headed back into the comfort of air-conditioning and headed into the toilet for a little time-out...

Of all the times that TAUFIK Batisah had to come was when i was in the toilet...PERFECT...so the moment i heard the deafening screams of female voices i knew it was him...haiz nak touch up pun tak kesempatan...

Geram dibuatnyer....

Dah takder rezeki lah kan so wat to do? So after waiting for Abg Ard's family n gf, we all headed into the hall to finally get to watching the show...and it ROCKED...

Memang tak sia-sia lah aku pergi pasal Gerhana SkaCinta pun yg open...and did they open the show with a bang or what!?

So skip to the Good Parts...Bhumiband i felt went away as the overall winner garnering not only the Nusantara's recognition but also walking away with 3 out of their 5 nominated awards...hows that for starters? So kalau korang dengar org-org yg terpekik terlolong biler diorang tgh ambik award itu aku lah...camera pun takleh pan to our direction cos we were sitting like way to the side...camera pun tak sampai nak pan ke saner...so korang dapat dengar suara aku jer lah...

Tapi part yg paling gerek was when the 3 divas got up on stage to perform their songs...the atmosphere was terlalu electric...bulu roma aku dah meremang biler diorang tiga2 started singing man...and when can u actually get CT nurhaliza to dance like that!? Heheehehehe

Tak lupa juga antics ke-empat2 host pada malam itu...to me, i think THEY stole the show...Taufik pun kalah...tapi he sounded really good live okay!

SO...for the pics...just click HERE

My Life (Or What It Used To Be...)

Finally, I noticed that Shereen's been reading my blog regularly, thank you darling <<<>
Anyways, I can smell the exams...they're like a hair's breadth away...and wat am i doing? Nothing very productive...haiyahs...

What's been happening?

1) I was sprung with a Poetry Quiz yday afternn...a test that was scheduled on the 21st Feb...yes...and i did not study for the test...AND...i did not get the sms about the test which my friend tried to warn me about...

2) I got back the assignment and the Mid-Sem paper for my Grammatical Analysis...and i FAILED...bloody crap...and it was an open book test...so you all can imagine how bloody difficult it was...

3) For 2 consecutive days, I went for my 2pm class and....*SURPRISE!!!*...Lecturer tak dtg...bah-bloody-humbug...and i had to crawl out of my nap just to attend these classes...ah well...at least i get to blog...

4)Well i haven't gotten to four yet...lets just wait and see what happens tomorrow and thursday then...

So gerls, Shereen especially, you have to make me happy on Saturday...and don't bubble on me anymore...we still haven't taken those pics that i wanted to take oh-so-badly...

Wahoooooo....at least i get to go to APM...heheh...that's a big consolation...Now how am I going to break it to my parents???

The Weekend's Passed...

Had a rather interesting weekend...was pretty much bummed out and stressed over the fact that Finals are cmg soon and that the Exam time-table is already out...so my body decided to take a time out...so here i am sitting in front of the pc with a nasty cough and itchy throat...flu's almost gone...yipeee!

I was pretty okay on saturday, which is why i didnt decline to go watch MOCCA with Abg Ard...their music...i have to define it as something that is so saccharine sweet...like one of my friends commented: they sound like something out of a disney cartoon...the vocalist was so darn cute...so hard to believe that they're Indonesian cos their english is so polished...-10 pts for speaking such great English! heheh-...

On Sunday, my flu reared its ugly head and i was sniffling all over...not a pretty sight...so it was bed rest for most of sunday...On Monday i eventually had to go to the doctor's cos this nasty cough decided to jump in and join in the fun...-bleaurgh-...But i have to say, the medicine is potent stuff...again i was in Bed the whole of today...im so bored...so tomorrow i guess I'll have to get started on my assignment...and study...yuck...toodles then

Not much of an entry i suppose but im just doing this so that i dont bore myself to sleep...AGAIN...

Here i go again...

The week...how should i put it...its been haywire all the way...no time for a breather...penat sey...next week's CNY's break is well due...and im gonna skip monday and tuesday classes for a full one week holiday...yeahoooooooo

As usual i left singapore on sunday night...reached campus around 5am...the moment i got back to my room, and brushed my teeth and washed my face rummaged around in my bag to set my hp alarm clock...suddenly...

NO HP IN THE BAG!

"Die, die!"...that's all that raced through my mind...had trouble sleeping at ferst... then at 8 plus suddenly aroused frm sleep...thanks to my very disheveled state i even missed mrng prayers...shame on me...borrowed my roomie's hp to make a missed call and sms which went something like this: "Kalau sesiaper yg dah ambik hp saya tolong lah miss call saya kat nombor ni...pls pls...saya ni maseh student lagik"...felt: Miserable...tht's wat i call the ultimate monday blues...and the hp...its just a N6610...outdated oredi but really² precious to me...

Feeling sad and depressed, i got ready for my 11am class...tried to feel better by wearing ma brand new skirt to class paired with an apple green top...skali walked a few blocks, met my classmate and she told me that class was canceled...-itu Ustaz asyik ponteng class ajer...kalahkan student dier lak-...so there i was, flustered, depressed and all dressed up with nowhere to go...

When i got back, my roomie was back from class and suddenly my singaporean compatriot called her hp...she told me she had my hp...-alhamdullillah!-...the worst was over...turned out that when i called her earlier in the day she was asleep and couldnt hear the hp ringing...she didnt even want to open my sms' to check and see whether i was the one tht smsed asking the kind soul to return the hp...thank the Almighty for friends like that...hehehe...blessing + curse sometimes...hehe

Eventually Tuesday rolled around and i had my Grammatical Analysis mid-sem test...killer test + killer lecturer= killer scolding on thursday (3 feb 2005)...after repeatedly telling the class not to misspell certain terms like THEME/RHEME & DEICTIC...some smart aleck spelt it as THEME/RHYME x 10 (for all the 10qns, selenger ke per)...mind u, the actual spelling was in the question itself...-dah lak copy...salah lak tu-...deictic was spelt as DIECTIC...and bcos some pple didnt get the txtbk, the whole class kena scolding...lucky the brunt of the shelling went to the local students...PHEW...

Lagik satu criter lawak to bring this week to a close...sat for my arabic mid-sem abt 2 weeks ago and got the paper back on tuesday...one section of the paper instructed us to construct a sentence with the given word...me & my arabic vocabulary don't really have a gd relationship so i do things by just looking at the word and just plain old GUESS...big ol' mistake...

Mistook SHOE for a vegetable...great...and the sentence i constructed was: "Hassan likes to eat SHOES"...needless to say the lecturer pointed that out and everyone laughed...lucky he didn't say WHO it was...

I guess that pretty much wraps things up for this week...hope things go better next week...oh and Taufiq (Chua), hope your grandma recovers soon...my prayers are with you...

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh Day

The day has been crawling along so far...i missed something...something doesn't seem right...something is just not where its supposed to be...

i wanted to go out but i've ended up babysitting...its not the day i was looking forward to...on the other hand...someone's been absolutely quiet...i just feel like telling that person to just quit lying to yourself and just get back together aight...enough of being a sap and coming to me and complaining about it...i've had just about enough of it...the crapness of it all...i think i was the one that set it all in motion right...haiz...i should just take my foot and shove it into my mouth...-sometimes that is-...

good guys do finish last...

Made arrangements last night to meet Khasanah at Bishan Mrt @ 5pm...but thanks to moi, princess of late-coming (these past few months that is), i only got there by 5.45pm...lost track of time when we were happily shopping...having a go with most of the items on sale...left the Expo hall by 5pm only...luckily the lift by Thub was worthwhile...-even though i got to dhoby ghaut by 5.30-...made a dash to the mrt stn and prayed hard that i would reach bishan as fast as possible...by the time i got to bishan it was 5.45pm...had no choice but to take a cab...

So me and Kha took the cab and THEN we realised we were on the wrong side of the Bishan park and had to make a BIGGGGG walk to the other side of Bishan Park...apparently the park has two sections, one called Bishan Park 1 and the other Bishan Park 2...why so leceh?...make my life miserable only...but thankfully for the walk, i must have burned off the calories/kJ frm my lunch of a mushroom swiss meal...
so we got to the park and as i got to the venue, Abg Ard waved and smiled at me frm the stage as we took our seats...

I missed Abg Ard so much! He's doing so well...that was the first time in 2 years that i got to meet him again...gosh...that was long...luckily we were still in contact thru sms and stuff...Im so proud of my abg! I hope he wins at least One frm his 5 nominations...ALL THE BEST ABG AND TO BHUMIBAND! u guys rawked my socks man...i never knew i'd like a local band till u guys showed up...BEST of luck!
Pics will be up soon...after i develop them...im now using an SLR camera most of the time...so it'll take a while k guys...

Just to do Abg a favour, hehe...-i'll just do a spot of promotion for him-...dopr by BHUMIBAND's webbie and check out the audio section, some song samples to hear...click here for Bhumiband...

Well that's all for now...let me start my countdown:

6 weeks to FINALS

3 more months to my 21st birthday

It just keeps eluding me

Its still a mystery yet to be solved...why do i keep deluding myself...its gonna put me into so much trouble and eventually cause my own destruction...Nak cakap geram takleh...tapi nak cakap tak geram pun tak boleh...well, semuanya dah ditakdirkan oleh Allah S.W.T so, terserahlah sahaja...dah tak boleh ku buat ape² lagi pun

The Night Kallang Stadium Roared Back To Life

The last time I heard the Kallang stadium roar that loud was 11 yrs ago...its been a while and the to hear it again sounded like renewed faith...I experienced every bit of it...and i was really glad i did...

My friend and I got there by around 5.30pm and even then, the whole EAST gallery was almost jam packed...we didn't get to sit right in the middle but rather somewhere near the goalpost...but it didn't really matter...It was a sea of RED... it was like Chinese New Year -but better-...The atmosphere, WOW...i haven't been to a game like that in ages...

I got there almost 2 hours even before the kick-off and people were already excited...chanting, doing the Kallang Wave, making confetti out of newspaper...i loved every single bit of it...I brought my SLR camera but even before kick-off, the batteries decided to die on me...I couldn't even care less...

As i read the newspaper today and looked at the images in the paper, i felt like a proud mother whose son had done excellently in a national exam...i almost wanted to tear and cry...Yesterday's event surpassed my wildest dreams...The shouts and chants reverberated throughout the whole stadium and silenced the Indonesian fans. ... -not that anyone could hear them anyway- (so much for "Bangkit Indonesia")...

Indra Sahdan's goal effectively killed and silenced the Indonesian players ...the pint sized goal scorer did not disappoint the home crowd and sealed in the first goal 6 minutes into the game...everybody got up to their feet and screamed, yelled, cheered and just got crazy...it went beyond boundaries...everyone didn't care whether you were chinese, malay or indian...it just went beyond race...

The second goal, even though it was a penalty, was celebrated as fervently as the former...the conversion of the penalty by Agu Casmir went down as a hard pill to swallow for the Indonesians...It completely wrecked them... and the home crowd was treated to Agu Casmir's somersaults and the crowd went absolutely WILD...

Lionel Lewis' performance last night was absolutely fabulous...he was THE man of the night...he saved so many shots...I can't remember Lionel Lewis ever performing that fabulously...

The prize giving ceremony was excellent and when Capt. Aide Iskandar lifted the trophy, the stadium erupted into cheers and singing Queen's "We Are The Champions"...

Now i have to bid adieu and nurse my hoarse throat, any suggestions?

p.s. : Itimi Dickson needs special mention, he ran like a train that never ran out of steam...brilliant! Congrats again SINGAPORE on their Tiger Cup WiN!

Why is it EVERYTIME i come home to singapore alone...

How come things HAVE to screw up when i make the journey back to singapore alone? The moment i had one foot in the cab back at campus, i could just sense a feeling of foreboding...

The pakcik driving the cab had a strong accent...somewhere from Kelantan or something...i just couldnt make out what he was trying to tell me...so i just said: Yah..ah...ye...ok takpe pakcik, drive ajer sampai ke stesyen Lrt Putra...he was babbling about something not having electricity and something wasn't working...but of course i couldn't make heads or tails of what he was trying to say...

When i eventually reached the Lrt stn, the shutters were half down and there was red tape across the entrance...so the wheels inside my head started turning and ::DING!:: so THAT was what the cab driver was talking about...ugh...great...wat a way to wrap up my day...so i pleaded with the pakcik to take me to Pudu cos it was already 4.30pm and my bus was scheduled at 5.30!!! Sadly enough, the pakcik wasn't able to take me there...shoot!

So i stood outside the station with a few other people waiting for the electricity to get running again...panic mode started to seep in...great...i was either gonna have to forego my 5.30pm ticket OR i could just make a mad dash for it...

Of course i picked option B. Lucky for me, and another gerl heading to the Pudu bus terminus, a bus driver offered to send us to the next lrt station...thankfully the electricity was up and running by the time we got to the station...but the moment i got into the train, which was already packed, it didnt move...for about another 5 mins! By then, it was close to 5pm...i was praying silently that the train would move soon...God must have heard me...

When the train reached KLCC it was already 5.15pm...i got shoved in further away from the door cos there was a horde of people that actually wanted to get into the train which was already packed like a tin or sardines...luckily there was a seat...so i just plopped myself down...soon after when the train started to pick up speed, the train suddenly jerked and halted which caused some people to lose their balance and almost fall...i was screaming inside my head and saying: what now God? Why are you testing me like this today? I was so afraid that I was gonna miss my 5.30pm bus...

Thankfully enough it wasn't another power failure...so the train started to move again after a moment's lapse...Time check 5.25pm @ Masjid Jamek lrt stn...

Getting out was another challenge...i had to shove my way out and luckily the ugly Singaporean side of me didn't get out...So i dashed up the stairs to the control stn, out the station and run to the STAR line...hurriedly bought my ticket and bounded up the escalator steps and rushed up the stairs...luckily a train was heading toward the platform and i was one stop away from the pudu bus terminus...HOME free!

When i got to the terminus, i rechecked with the uncle which bus i was gonna board and lucky enough for me i finally hopped on the bus...time check: 5.45pm...bless the bus driver who got into KL late...i eventually made my way back to singapore at around 6pm...

The last time i went home alone my bus broke down...what next???

Reflections Of 2004...

Its been a yr...and it has been Quite a year i must say...

In the whole of 2004 i'm glad i got rid of the pesky irritants in my life...it was hard and sad and not to mention heartbreaking...but SHIT happens...for a reason...thats something that im very sure of...May Allah SWT give me the strength to go through a new year and help me become a better person...InsyaAllah...

Academically...everything is going as planned...but im not where i want to be as yet...it'll take a while...but InsyaAllah i'll get there with Allah's blessing...

Once i was lost but now im found...i've found strength in the friendships that i've created...and i will continue to draw strength from them...both old and new...im very thankful...if i haven't been the best of a friend i hope that Allah will change that in me...

My heart really hangs heavy at the close of 2004...much of it due to the devastation that occured during the Christmas weekend...that was just a little look-see for what is to come somewhere in the future...I am thankful that Allah has let me live for another day and i pray that i get to see many more days in the future...I still haven't accomplished what i want to do...i hope that i am given the opportunity to do so...

I also am very thankful that i still have my family to count on...through thick or thin, i know that they'll always be there for me...I also thank Allah for sparing my family, my home and all my friends...Singapore was very fortunate not to have been devastated by the tsunamis at all...I hope that everyone who is alive today are able to count their blessings to live another day...

I would also like to extend my condolences to friends who have lost their families, their homes...I hope that whatever contributions that we make will help you...I know that recovery will be a long journey but know that God is always watching you...caring for you...

I am but a lone individual saying a silent prayer amidst the millions that are saying prayers for you too...Amin...

With regards to the 18th of december...

Hmm, where shall i start...i had a great day...simply said...i haven't gone out like that and enjoyed myself so thoroughly...

Headed out around 1 plus and we decided to meet at Plaza Singapura...we were supposed to catch a movie there but tickets were selling fast...so we headed to the AXS station instead to purchase tickets for the movie, The Phantom of the Opera...His idea entirely...at GV Grand...since we were still early we ate lunch at LJS...

The part that i wont forget that night was that i offered to tear open a packet of chilli for him since his other hand was immobilized due to his accident...as i proceeded to squeeze the chilli out for him on his plate, his gd hand came out and squeezed out another pack of chilli on my plate...haiz...just my luck...another suave guy...dammit...

Might i add, he paid for my lunch...

After lunch we hurriedly made our way to GV Grand...read:We Were Late...so, after rushing there by cab...again he picked up the tab...we got into the theatre and endured the singing throughout the whole movie...

After the movie we went to Orchard Rd...big mistake...everyone was out doing their last minute Christmas Shopping...off we went to Borders...i was dying to get my hands on Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code... the book is absolutely divine...after making MY purchase, we started off for Al-Falah to do our evening prayers...the usual 10 min walk was hampered by the large crowds on Orchard Rd and eventually we reached the mosque after 20 mins...

Dinner was next on the agenda...at Little India...KomalaVilla's...AGAIN he picked up the tab...

We finally ended up at Arab St around 9 plus...by cab, his treat...and we decided on Ambrosia to do some serious Sheesha-ing...he picked out Green Apple flavour for himself, and some strawberry & peach concoction for me...w/o my knowledge of course...and then came this waiter with 2 big sheesha bottles...

Knowing that this kind of activity wasn't cheap, i offered to go dutch by placing some money on the table which he aptly REFUSED to take and would not think of...it almost turned into a little scuffle...so there again he picked up the tab...after some heavy-duty sheesha smoking i decided that it was time for me to leave...

Oh and did i mention that he called me almost everyday at campus frm singapore? Don't worry...this time im not such a gullible sucker...

Khalas...

Serves me right for drinking the whole can of green tea...

My week has been VERY memorable...and you know why???
(1) We saboh-ed this gurl (Nora frm Pahang) on her bdae...with ROTTEN eggs...we didnt plan on it...HONEST!
I just so happened that the guy at the shop said just take the eggs and so they did...
So after the festivities of blowing out the candles and eating the cake, she got creamed...ferst with the cake, then 30 odd rotten eggs...followed by a topping of MILO...needless to say the place stank after we creamed her...we then splashed a whole 2 buckets if water to get rid of the unbearable stench and then eventually did the clean-up...God...i wanted to puke...the smell was AWFUL!

(2) After all that, a couple of friends, we went to the night market...i got some vcd's...wow after a long time...i think they were good buys...3 for RM10...not bad wldnt u say...sheesh...advocating piracy...shame on me...Bride & Prejudice, SAW and Bridget Jones Diary: Edge of Reason...i enjoyed the Bridget Jones one the best...hehehe...farny...even Tj had fun watching it with me after the freak fest frm the movie Art of the Devil...its a thai movie...go watch it when it comes out...its really good!

(3) Finally, on my return journey today...the BUS BROKE DOWN!And at that point of time i needed to go and relieve myself so badly! Why did i have to go and drink that whole can of green tea all in one go? I had to hold back frm peeing in my pants for almost 1.5hrs! Almost decided to pee by the side of the rd....it was so bad...i cld hardly hold it anymore...thankfully God heard my prayers and sent me a bus...geez...i almost disgraced meself on the bus...luckily i didnt lose it...

So many memories in just a week...and its still not over YET...will be meetg a friend tomorrow...kinda excited...geez...like ive never met a fren before...

Will be doing lots of cool stuff tomorrow...i cant wait! Movie, sheesha, BORDERS...i cldnt have been luckier...

More tomorrow....

Federal Bowl @ Bukit Bintang Anyone???

Yesterday was a LOOOOOOONNNNGGGGG day...but it was time well spent with the Uni peeps y'day...

Let me spin my tale...

So we planned to go bowling on saturday...we never planned for it to rain...ahakz...MANY of us forgot to bring our umbrellas so it was 3-4 pple uner one umbrella... i pity the guys...they had to run under the rain and got mightitly drenched...neither was i spared...

I got enough of the huddling under the umbrella with 2 other pple that i dashed off running towards the next shelter...just as i was about to reach the shelter, this car splashed a whole load of water on me and my fren Shasha...Shasha was drenched frm top to toe...i was drenched hip down...i smelt of rain water AND my sandal strap broke...yuck...

By the time we reached Federal Bowl @ Bukit Bintang we were all drenched...and cold...and tired...and hungry...

But we bowled...no strikes or spares frm me...but i did come close...more practice...patience my dear girl,patience...

After the bowling session, we headed off to Plaza Low Yat to peform our prayers and then headed off to dinner after that...whatever u do...never go to this place called Estana Eating house (or somewhere along those lines) they rip u off! So EXPENSIVE! For a plate of rice, chicken cutlets, cucumber achar anda fried chicken cost me RM$6.50! But i pity my fren who had to shell out RM5 for a GLASS OF LYCHEE DRINK...whatever lah...%*&$(#@^%()(*^^$$$#...

After dinner we walked it off and headed to KLCC and took pretty photographs of the skyscrapers...it looks really pretty at night...cant wait till my photos develop...

By 9pm we were all tired...so we headed home and got some well deserved rest...

Meanwhile, i got a nice phonecall frm a friend...thanks for calling...hehehe...

Tonight its soccer: Chelsea VS Arsenal

Muacks...miss you all back home...will be back next week InsyaAllah

Mabuhay...Bonjourno...Aloha....

Sorry for being unable to blog for so long....i kinda left it all hanging like that....not fair for some of the ardent readers...especially my close friends...

How am i doing?? Fine alhamdullillah... its been a hectic week...my classes on M-W-F all start at 8am! What an ungodly hour to have class...and the ones on tues and thurs all start at 8.30am...i spend the whole day at campus and by the time i get back i only have just enough time to wash my clothes and sleep early...bluargh!

So far the classes are great...i know that im gonna have to work harder...my classes the past yr were all easy...now im actually gonna have to work hard for the grades...but im not complaining...

Hehehe...this reminds me...my shakespeare lecturer is as old as my great grandfather...im amazed he can actually conduct a lecture over a duration of 1.5 hours without doubling over...the one doing the sleeping would be ME nonetheless...he speaks so softly...and he's just so OLD! Remind me to get a pack of sweets for his class...

Classes are better this time round cos im already a senior and i've established friendships and acquaintances with my fellow coursemates so its a pleasure to know that im not alone when i go for a new class...

The readings to be done for my lit classes are never ending...needless to say since i havent even gotten a copy of my Shakespeare text which is SO expensive by my standards that it...Tomorrow will be my off day...and we're going bowling...yipee! Hoorah!

Bye! Till next time...whenever that is ....

There are exactly 2 more days until the expiry date...and then its back to campus...what a drag...i have so many things to do...and i still havent got packing...and i have a course to go to this weekend...which ends at 6pm on both days...

Lemme gripe...its my license to since its MY blog...No Singapore Idol finale for me...not catching up with my gal pal who's jetting off to India early next month...why is this all happening at the beginning of my semester???

I was just getting into the swing of Raya! Not fair!

I have certain commitments i've made that i'd not like to go to...but it wouldnt be nice if i don't go...but if i go i'll be so out of place...what a bummer...See its hard being me...

I'm starting to miss everyone already...dammit...can i pretend none of this is happening and not go back to campus??? I don't think so...

But on a brighter note: I passed my EXAMS! Yipeee!!!! *doing imaginary cartwheels in my mind*

1st Syawal

The first day went off without a hitch i should say...lucky for my whole family that my grandparents decided to come to singapore and spend eid with us...if not, this eid would be a dead one...

Woke up real early even after a late night...-khekhekhe...spent the night chatting after doing the cleanup-...so i did ironing, cleaned the toilet AGAIN...took my shower and finally got dressed and helped my mom in the kitchen...it felt weird you know...spending eid without my father...it felt like having an arm ripped off from your torso...i miss him real badly...last i heard they might not come back this thursday but this coming sunday instead!!! Noooooooo!!!!

Anyways...we all did the traditional salam and seeking forgiveness from our elders...i think i cried buckets...especially when i did it with my mom...luckily no one took my pic...nanti tak glam langsung...makeup pretty much got ruined -har har-...but still, it was a great day...

The food??? Well wat can i say? It was phenomenal...kenyang giler dibuatnyer...there was lontong, ketupat, rendang, sambal udang, ayam masak merah, sambal kacang, sambal goreng (Nyai Endon style) fuhyooooo...takleh angkatz...we'll be getting more of that sambal goreng this thurs and i cant wait!!! Yum-yum...

Besides my close relatives coming over, there were only 2 other grps of pple that came to my house which made the whole day quite a quiet affair...since the dad's away with his parents...we didnt get to go to my paternal grandparents house...not to mention my dad is the only one who drives and my mom didnt want to go out...so we were stuck at home the whole day...no surprise there...So i'll only be going out this thursday with the Uni peeps! Gosh i cant wait...the perks of staying in a small country! We're gonna visit quite a few pple so we hired the bus and the works...everyone's gonna be dressed to the nines! And needless to say I'm gonna be taking the digicam with me so you can all expect some really good pics!

And pls Izzy...dont drop the cam again k? Or else i'll make you crawl on yor hands and knees to retrieve it! khekhekehke...cya thursday k?

Fading into oblivion

This is one of the pics that made it...the rest were like CRAP...more to come for sure! Hhehehe...
The pic's a bit screwed cos my cuz stood up and spoiled the whole pic and there were like only 4 of us who were looking at the camera...i'll have to claim the rest of the pics frm my aunts later on...ciao!

Fading into oblivion

Invisible

How would it feel if you were standing right there in front of this person yet they never noticed you? Sad right? Well maybe they noticed you but they never think twice about you...they'll just treat you like a friend...

Its so hard to put up that facade of being that brave and strong girl all the time...when you're hurting deep down and the scars that have not yet healed keep getting salt into them...its absolute torture to have to face people everyday and pretend everything is normal...its not...the way we have to deal with it as individuals differ so sometimes i might not want to talk about it to you...i wanna go someplace where i can be alone...where i can find some peace in solitude...

But you're always there...i just don't know how to break it to you...

Im just standing there and you're looking right through me...just like the others before you have done...so i go on with my daily routine...hoping that one day...just one day that i wont be that invisible girl...

This bleeding heart...it still pines...it pines for something that i can only imagine...something that keeps slipping thru my fingers...once, i felt close to getting my cake and eating it...but somewhere down the line i started being disillusioned...

I'll feel sad at times but then i'll start to rage within...it feels like the embers are still smouldering...it continues to burn until i find something to quench its thirst...

I don't want to be invisible anymore...

Happy Days...

I've been getting together with many friends this past Ramadhan...i now really understand the true and powerful meaning of friendships...whether through my ups and downs...u're always there...

Zak's mini-bitch fit (as she puts it) wasn't so much of a bitch fit...kehkehkeh...just a lot of hyperventilating and explaining to one BLUR sotong like me...lucky gurl...-the ring, the guy and the friend (ME of course)-...May Allah bless you always, Amin...I feel so bad for putting her on the spot the other day...khekhekhe...i on the other hand was enjoying myself...for certain reasons...-which shall not be disclosed-...Geylang was packed...then again when has it not ever been packed during this month?

I also didnt realise that i had quite a fan base khekehkeh....thanks Azura...if it wasn't for you i wouldnt...no, WE wouldnt have known...

I now have MSN nights...khekehkhe...sleepless nights due to chatting...and chatting with the same old people...who i enjoy talking to BTW...thank you to whoever created msn messenger...i love you loads...now i can have my bitching sessions online...i am gonna miss chatting when i get back to campus...wish they would just hook up the whole campus and make it wireless...yeah right...in a million years...

5 more days to Eid...i didnt even see that cmg...where did all the time go???...i still want my baju kurung...shoes...bag...scarf...i have no matching scarf...this is sooooo hard...daddy's away...i don't feel like celebrating Eid...lets just get it over with and get back to school...wat does the next semester hold in store for me? Zak stop laughing and giggling...i can practically envision you doing it...Wish me luck!

..::Rant&Rave:Pre-Islamic Days::..

Those days were filled with plenty of idolatry and weak pple...idol worshippers of pagan Arabia...i suddenly feel like im suddenly being pulled back into those pagan times...its not the idol worshipping but its the kind of values and morals that we display inthis day and age...i truly feel like we have regressed...

Its sad to see how some people do not know how to value and appreciate this Holy month of Ramadhan...they dont even know how to revere this month...these people are flaunting & displaying their acts of rebellion agst God...are they insane? Eating and drinking -@ a coffeeshop no less!!!- Have they NO SHAME?????

Full-grown adults who don't understand the meaning of fasting...the only time where one can be cleansed of sin and there they are creating more sins...even my brother -my youngest brother at 6yrs old- is fasting...what of these men? Here i am fretting over the fact that I cant perform my fasting and these men are jolly well eating & drinking...

I don't know what kind of society im living in these days...for every 10 pple trying to save Islam, there is one black sheep that brings them all down...wat a waste of efforts...

i hope tht my father's prayers will be answered...InsyaAllah...missing daddy badly...

$%^&*^%$#@!eeeeeerrrrrrrgggghhhh)(&^%^$%#$##@#!!!

Wat is up with everyone trying to tell me: "He's a good guy...you should go for him"

I think i just had about enuff...the gd guys are:

1)taken

2)gay

3)not interested

4)or someone whom you're just platonic friends with

If memory serves me right...a lot of the guys that i like are just my friends and thats where it ends...Right there...so pls stop asking...i beg of you...no more...

The failures speak louder than the successes...

Wait...were there any successes at all??? I'll ponder that one for a while...

That should get ur tummies rumbling...

Finally weeded out the bad...

Singaporeans have finally weeded out the remaining weaklings in Singapore Idol...now that pretty boy Christopher Lee is out....let the real competition begin...

Next week...soul and RnB...my pick, Leandra and Taufik will shine in this genre but Taufik will outdo the rest...this genre i believe is his BEST bet on arriving at the final 2...

Singapore Idol keeps on bringing a lot of surprises...Sylvester keeps surprising me EVERYTIME! He is truly THE dark horse of the competition...he might JUST make it to the final 3...

I hope that i wont have to eat my words...

i need my shut eye...now...

Cya

I wanna sleep but these peepers just wont stay shut...

I have been at the pc for the past 4 nights in a row going without any normal nocturnal resting time...its official...i am: A CREATURE OF THE NIGHT...

I've been spending my nights bloghopping OR happily chatting on the msn messenger...lately its the peeps frm Uni that i've been chatting to regularly...i never knew how i could have struck up such close relationships with these people even though we're from very different backgrounds...i'm blessed...in many ways im glad that i didnt make it to NUS...i have memories here that'll take me to the grave...they are easily becoming the people that i feel like i've known since i was young...

The strangest thing is that when i entered IIUM, i felt like i knew these people from...like a past life...i know it sounds ridiculous but the faces seemed familiar...the conversations...the way i connected with them...it felt like second nature to me...

I think i'm finally settling in...im getting a hang of things...its a year since i've been in IIUM...i rate it as the best & worst year ever...the introductory chapter to this part of my life was met by so much hostility that i pretty much hated a lot of the things that were happening to me...this Ramadhan is a complete turnaround fromthe one i had last year...there were more tears last year compared to this year...

Ramadhan this year was marked by the examinations and also the forging of closer rships...i trly thank Allah S.W.T for this opportunity that i've always wanted...truly, it is HE that always listens to you in your hour of need...

I would like to re-assure my old friends that you are not forgotten but cherished even more because i realise that you are the friends that i have grown up with...you've seen me at my worst...at my best...and everything that was in between...you have moulded me into who i am today and i couldnt have done it without you...

I feel superb...no one's gonna get me down no more...no more crap...and i'll tell myself not to be so naive and gullible the next time okay???

I'm not surprised...neither am i shocked...i just feel suddenly serene...so glad that i wont be putting up with this silly little charade anymore...

Suddenly the ocean doesnt seem so big after all...it seems to me that its been reduced into a pond...soon enough it'll diminish into a little puddle...

Yes, Im finally @ HOME!

Yahoooo! I've finally come home to the wonderful pc and the endless surfing hours! The exams are finally OVER and im glad that im back home so that i can spend time with family and friends during this wonderful and meaninful month...Ramadhan Mubarak to all concerned and i hope that u make full use of this month to carry out ur acts of worship and good deeds...

I spent a lot of time contemplating on what kind of emotional state i've been in and i am sometimes still hovering in between...I have no idea whether im coming or going, whether i belong or not BUT one thing's for sure, I still feel like im missing out on something really big...

I've been writing this constantly in my written journal...i have this strange niggling feeling that something is amiss...but i have no idea what it is...SAD isnt it? Well i have a whole six weeks to think about it...ponder some more...

This fasting month really has taken off...i've been to the mosque for terawih almost every other night except fri, sat sunday and today...i think that's a pretty good record...hopefully i'll go with Linda tomorrow insyaAllah...not forgetting Azura too...iftar was phenomenal today...i don't think i've bonded faster with any grp of people then the ones i've bonded with currently...afterwards we headed to Geylang and hung out at S11 just like the gd ol' times at OTK in gombak...it was fantastic to be with one another again after being apart...for a few days khekhekheke...cant wait till the next round...

We're online with each other again even after we've jsut met earlier khekehkehe....dah giler sorang2...

HASH(0x8a1d98c)
You are the color red. You are the most
controversial of all the colors. You are often
easily angered, but as easily as you got
excited, you come down. When angered, do you
have the tendency to be malicious? Afterwards,
do you end up begging for forgiveness? Maybe.
But you're incredibly generous, and, odd
enough, needy. You love to hate, and
sometimes, you hate to love. This color
describes you as generally edgy. When in a bad
situation, you're pessimistic, and when you're
in a good situation, you're extremely
optimistic. You're painfully tempermental, and
sometimes it hurts the ones you love. But with
an exciting and stimulating attitude, you enjoy
talking to people and being social. But aside
from your bold and outgoing attitude, you're
attention-needing and attention-getting. This
color is associated with lust and desire--and
you are both lust and desirous. You're a
protective person when it comes to the people
you love. You're incredibly sharp-witted and
powerful (not to mention intelligent!).

What color are you? (Amazingly detailed & accurate--with pics!)

Which Royalty Are You? Find out! By Nishi.

You are the beautiful and compassionate Queen. You are the epitomy of what every woman should be. You are confident, bold, aggressive, smart, womanly and feminine. You know the right thing to do and do it. You command respect and earn praise. You are moral and loving. In times of trouble, you draw strength from within, and are a source of strength for others.

Choices, choices and more choices...

You know, when you were a kid your parents usually made the decisions for you...but as we grow older we tend to make our own decisions...

I remember as a kid my parents picked out what to wear, what to eat and which school to attend...even my secondary school was picked by my mom...all i had in mind was my dream school...so i put it at the top of my list and i didnt get in...but i was really glad to be in ahmad ibrahim sec...really, really glad...i made life-long friends there and they are really the people that are the backbone in my life...

So you see...parents decisions arent so bad...after all they have our best interest at heart...but to what extent do we let them make decisions for us?...even after my mom picked out my schools for me...she was kinda mad that i had entered all the schools based on her decision...i on the other hand thought she would be thrilled to see that i wanted to please her...i really didn't know at that point of time whether it was an act of obligation or not...needless to say...even picking out a junior college was based around my parents decision...not that i didn't have the same opinion about the school they had picked out...

Picking the university also involved some views by my parents...and once i didn't get into the universities of choice...THEY sprung into action...they picked out the next best uni for me...at that point i was really undecided...so i just said okay and i filled out those application forms...not once did i think i would make it to that instituition...after being accepted i was really sceptical...was i ever going to fit in?...-the thought of making friends all over again really tormented me-...was i ever going to assimilate into that kind of life?...something that my parents wanted me to be...naturally i rebelled...but that just didnt last long and it really didn't go down well for me...i hated the thought of not being able to please my parents after first announcing that i would reject the university's offer...i really put a lot of thought to it...and after much needling from both my paternal and maternal grandparents including my relatives i decided to leave home to study in KL...

So i am battling with a lot right now...i would say that my routine of travelling back and forth from KL to singapore every weekend is an act of rebellion because i didn't and never really wanted to be there...i guess that's why my mom doesn't really pull my ear about it...but where does this act of decision making stop with parents and their children?...its an age old question...something really to ponder about...im starting to wonder when my parents will stop making the decision for me...i have a feeling it will be the day i get married...only then will they let me make my own decisions...

Even if she does let loose the reins on decision making...i'm going to doubt the kind of decisions i make because my parents have always or most of the time been making the decisions for me...and they have been pretty accurate 90 percent of the time...i don't know whether my position as an eldest daughter and granddaughter (on both sides of the family mind you!) has anything to do about it but i guess it does...it puts that extra pressure on you to perform and set a gd example for your siblings and your younger cousins...i guess thats why my sister doesn't understand...i really envy the kind of freedom and im sometimes proud of her achievements...some stuff i don't get to do (and wouldn't have ever gotten a chance to do) she's already been there and done that...maybe she's young...sure, but really...when you think about it there's always pros and cons...but i would really love to be in her shoes...she's more independant than i am...and that's always something to envy...i on the other hand have dozens of pple watching me and wanting me to do well...so i really can't (and i doubt that i will) ever screw up...

So you see...its really hard to be me....

...i want people to see through my eyes...

This must be one of my more personal entries and i think it's done me a whole world of good...so please if anyone wants to leave a comment please do so...i'd love to hear your thoughts...

Picasa BloggerBot Convert

I have a strange habit of usually wanting to do things the hard way...but eventually i give up and take the easy route...with BloggerBot i actually get to paste the pics the way i want them to be pasted...easy peasy...even for non-techno geeks like me...

Yesterday i typed in an entry for my blog but it mysteriously went missing...wonder where in the WWW it went...-scratches head-...

Yesterday was a painful day...the seat in the bus on thursday evening was really cause to complain about...not to mention my seniors and I got seats right at the back of the bus...it was really bumpy...half the time i thought i was on a horse rather than a bus...the seat reclined alright...but what made it really painful was the fact that the foot rest wasnt able to be pulled up...-faulty or something like that-...so i was sleeping in a sort of precarious manner...i wasnt sitting and neither was i lying down...so u can imagine the pain i was in after i woke up...my hip hurts...-even as i type this-...and its kinda bruised...oh my poor body...

Not only did i have to contend with an aching hip...i had a CRICK in the neck to deal with today...ugh...dumb pillow...

Other than bruised and aching body parts...emotionally i feel kinda low...suddenly i've been thinking a lot about the future...what it could and could not hold for me...its kinda pathetic & sad...i've been feeling lonely...and i seem to be moping...i don't understand why i keep rehashing memories of the past when im actually supposed to throw myself into my books...it only takes a while...everywhere u go...just take a look...a quick 5 sec glance and suddenly its the pits...depressing aint it...

I think i know where the problem stemmed from but i don't know how to stop it...maybe its jsut PMS...but these days i cant seem to get a decent night's rest if i dont have a good cry before that...just like last night...no cry = sleeping at 2 am = crick in the neck...

...can someone please have a heart and get me some anti-depressants...

i need to live normally the next few weeks...gd diet, 8 hrs of sleep and nice sunshine and a gd workout to loosen out the tensions of the day...i need that...after FUTSAL...i promise...

My research beckons...

Tired, lazy...and so much more...

I've been sooooo out of it lately...i don't even have the time to blog...-not even at school or at home-...exams are around the corner and i'm still bogged down by tests...one more next week...i hope that's the end of it for now till the exams...less than a month to go...haven't got down to serious studying yet...seriously...if not for the Islamic Revealed Knowledge courses that i have to take...i'd be cruising through my course...sadly...its not gonna work out like that for me...

My father told me something that really amused me and surprised me 2 weeks ago...im not gonna tell it here of course...its too private and personal...but i just wanted to get it off my chest...I'm touched that anyone would consider me...but really...i think it's a bit too early to tell...

He's not back from france yet...Oh God...how much longer is it going to get?...Till next weekend i guess...feels like i haven't seen him for months...i really hate this long distance thingy...but some things just come with a price...and this price tag is really pricey...

Futsal tourney between the Indonesian and Singaporean students are coming in a week's time...man i can't even catch a ball for nuts and they put me as the goal keeper...are they joking or what?...i haven't even got a chance to play another position...and goalie isn't even my original position...ah well...something's gotta give...hope im not jinxed and let any balls in...me in front of my own goal mouth i think is a big disaster...-just looking back at previous examples-...not a good sign...gotta do something about it...besides that unsavoury little piece of info...the training's been really good...its a good chance for me to get to know my school mates better and release pent up emotions by sweating it all out...thinking back on it...i really miss my floorball mates...the game...the swiftness of it all and the excitement that grips the whole 20 mins...i need to join back the team...i need to find a team...will Pasirians welcome me?...i really hope so...i want to play again so badly...i'll think about it again...

Bought me new stuff today...heheh...lingerie and a new pair of trackpants that are really fab...miss shopping...wishing i had more dough and more time to shop...lunch with Huda...-at long last-...caught up with her...missed her so much...met sue and jepz...last min thingy and talked technical stuffz...mostly about my old and ailing laptop...finally got the prob solved...thanks sue...

now im tired...gotta look for some notes to the Glass Menagerie...later...

Sucky Week Anyone?

So i saved the worst story for almost the end of the week...what happened?...well...

So i set of for Larkin alone on Sunday night since the usual people that i go home with weren't gg back with me that night (they decided to skip their monday classes and leave on tuesday night)...so i went to the bus stop where i thought the service 856 was supposed to be...sadly...NOT...

Already late and so all alone...i kinda waited and waited at the darned bus stop...wondering why the bus hadn't arrived yet...i went to look at the pole where they have all the bus services listed ...alas...i was so mistaken...i suddenly remembered that the service 856 didn't stop there at all!!!....ACCCCCKKKK!...the bus that i took the previous week was 965 (which i kept thinkg that it was 856)...deluded and already pissed at my stupidity...i waited yet again for the feeder service to bring me to the correct bus stop...BUT...it didnt stop there...the nightmare still continued...

After getting onto 856 and gg thru the route into Senoko where there were many foreign construction workers...the bus then made its way into the woodlands heartlands...thinking that the service was a loop service to the woodlands checkpoint...i merrily continued my solitary journey until...i realised that the friggin' bus went all the way to the regional interchange...amazed at my stupidity (yet again) i finally got down at marsiling mrt stn to board the last -phew- west bound train towards kranji...my plan of not to take the bus frm kranji failed as i ended up taking the bus frm there anyway...

The bus didn't make its usual quick getaway frm the wdlds checkpoint....instead it dallied for about 10 mins which really irked my patience...already SOOOOO miserably late...i kept wishing, hoping and praying that the bus would make its move...finally...it did...

I was soooooo angry at myself...thinkning i could save a few dollars from riding on the public transportation...i ended up spending more...

Please remind me that 856 does not stop in front of the mosque in Yishun...dumbass...

After a week without seeing my roomie Tj...im kinda cranky...miss her dearly...and to top it all off...Shafiq's away in France again...for 2 weeks...i miss him badly...

Come back soon & safely...Missing you lots...

Can it get any worse???
